I'm putting together a set loosely based on nordic mythology, mostly Valkyries and others that my younger brother is helping with. I intend to use it as a draft pack, but could use it for general deck construction as well. Overall, it will include 250 different cards before lands, all snow covered.
My first plan involved getting them made through The Game Crafter, but that would involve getting permission from EVERY artist to print their designs, or cause someone else to profit from them, AND getting permission from WotC to use their frames/faces, backs and icons on the cards.
Plan 2 was buying blank/resurfaced MtG cards, but those are expensive. Nearly 50 dollars US to buy just 60 of them.
My current plan is buying several hundred Basic Lands and full sheet labels, printing my cards, and just putting labels over the faces of the lands. Is this how other people do this?
At first glance, Zenyatta's Transcendence looks like a functional reprint of Safe Passage, but it also protects enchants and artifacts, right? Basically everything gains indestructible.
