The Bee Movie Except It's A Magic: the Gathering Card About Word Replacements 4WWWW
Enchantment
When The Entire Bee Movie Except It's A Magic: the Gathering Card About Word Replacements enters the battlefield, replace all instances of target noun on target permanent with another noun or subject phrase until The Bee Movie Except It's A Magic: the Gathering Card About Word Replacements leaves the battlefield. According to all known laws of aviation, there is no way a When The Entire Bee Movie Except It's A Magic: the Gathering Card About Word Replacements enters the battlefield, replace all instances of target noun on target permanent with another noun or subject phrase until The Entire Bee Movie Except It's A Magic: the Gathering Card About Word Replacements leaves the battlefield should be able to fly.
I might (probably won't) call #freegitaxianprobe or #freegravetroll, but not until I see tourney results postban. Hopefully the format is more fun (with more control and less battle-of-sideboards) or more diverse, and I won't complain about the ban unless the effect is negative.
Gitaxian Probe: I was using this in my deck, and it was really annoying too, because I got two foils on Christmas. But I understand. Golgari Grave-Troll: I wish they banned Prized Amalgam and/or Cathartic Reunion, because those were what made the deck too good.
I'm not a standard player, but seriously, who decided to ban Reflector Mage? Wizards is clearly against pure control. ANNOYING DECKS ARE GOOD FOR THE GAME, PERIOD.
I was totally not expecting this to happen. Maybe the Emrakul, the Promised End ban was okay, but otherwise I saw no need to ban or unban anything.
Hopefully banning twice as fast doesn't mean banning twice as much, which would, indeed, do severe damage to the format.
Krenko, Mob Boss is cheap(I used to own a $30 version)
I also, just for fun, once planned out an Apostle Deck which uses Shirei as commander. Shadowborn Apostle->Rune Scarred Demon->Behold the Beyond -> an infinite combo.
There are lots of other combos too. Yes there might be a combo season with "Siegenought," and Panharmonicon, Felidar Guardian, Paradox Engine, and Aethergeode Miner combos.
I like Gonti's Machinations. It's effectively 1 mana for drain 3 on your next turn if you lose life during both that turn and your opponent's.
But I'm not sure where it fits. I would say burn, but it's unlikely to trigger it quickly then.
1. A Twin ban was not a great idea, but the intentions were good. Twin was dominant.
2 and 5. Masterpiece Series is a sort of trap, incentivising people to buy sets so that there are more cards in Standard, and Standard is slightly cheaper. Plus, if I could afford one, I can now choose to buy myself a filigreed-border Defense Grid!
3. They backtracked.
4 and 6. Pro in PT stands for Promotional. Modern cannot promote future sets, so Wizards needs to find another way to promote Modern and Legacy. Like new Modern Event Decks and getting the reserved list out of Legacy so Eternal Event Decks can be printed.
I agree though that they care most about money.
So do the creators of almost everything you like.
In order to make a storyline work, main characters are necessary. Urza/Karn was the main character of the original story, so I would prefer to see them again, but I've always wanted the storytelling to be less... pointless, so I think the Gatewatch is a success. They could have chosen way better planeswalkers, but they had to choose something.
