    Innistrad Spoilers

I'm getting back into competitive STD just so I can play with...

Labratory Maniac. A deck's who's entire purpose is to draw 61 cards as fast as you can? A mono blue deck that makes mill a viable strategy because it's stupidly self destructive. Flash back and graveyards abuse, oh... I just can't wait.

Black undermines the manabase of the deck and the black cards, while good, don't justify taking away red cards that serve similar things. The artifacts are dangerous without Spiteful Vision and can backfire.

Browbeat is included in the sideboard and Wheel of Fate was in the original deck list, but I found the timing can be awkward.

    *Yawns*

Hey guys. Long no see. Life got hectic for a long while, and while I still kept up with Magic, it mostly consisted of reading DailyMTG and occasionally doing a draft. However, I came upon my favorite rare SPitEfUlViSionS and remembered my favorite deck, the Spiteful Shah. I was sad that I wouldn't be able to play it, until I found out Modern.

So, it feels good to be back with a new incarnation of Spiteful Shah. It'll posted in the signature deck thread.

I won't be able to frequent the forum as much as I'd like with school starting, but you'll definitely see me around more often after my... I think year absence.

One of my favorite cards is Shah of Naar Isle, a self proclaimed bad rare that seemed like card disadvantage on a big body. Then came Spiteful Visions and suddenly the hefty echo cost became the centerpiece for an Extended deck: Spiteful Shah. However, as time went, cards rotated out and the deck was never really the same.

Now, I just discovered Modern and would like to try and see if I can't return the rogue deck back to fighting form.

Cards in maindeck serve for either spot removal, acceleration, draw, or punishing draw. Sideboard has various forms of board sweepers, better spot removal, and a card that loves messing with all those nonbasics.

It's a gimmicky deck, but initial playtesting shows that it has great potential for power plays and may be an alternative to the standard RDW/burn archetypes for those Johnny types.

    Thoughts and critiques?

Which would mean we'd have to an all artifact/colorless deck with absolutely no artifacts that have any colored mana symbols... I'd rather not try to make that deck. Not that it couldn't work, but it'd be difficult.

I'd vote for a cheap General, but I'd vote for Tuktuk the Explorer, with the help of Precursor Golem, Radiate, Heat Shimmer, and Pandemonium.

Chubbz, you do realize you're not really presenting a good case for yourself. You're deflecting without providing any evidence (throwing dirt in the air trying to track away), self-depreciating (saying things which are tantamount to "why, yes I've been acting scummy"), and not reading the thread closely enough to know that I could at any time put an end to this, and the moment that was brought to your attention, you shift views, very unconvincingly, and suddenly say I'm town and that pass is now mafia.

If there was a fourth option, I'd inclined to take that, but between kpaca (who's shooting in the beginning gave us a good start), pass (who's believed in my town hood for quite some while), and you, I pick you.

    Vote Sgt_Chubbz

May the Elder One have mercy.
If you turn up town, I give my apologies, but I have to do what I think is best for the town.

Does this mean I get to hammer? 'Cause I'm totally okay with it.

Chubbz, you have until kpaca or pass gives me the go ahead, to make your futile case.

Considering bats died, I doubt you'd have any issue. <_<
but I'm pretty sure as long as it's not a direct quote, it shouldn't be a problem, seeing as the same logic behind items works for general role claims (from what I remember).

So, if we're to take pass' speculation as fact, this is what the turns to: We have two townies and one mafia and a serial killer.

Now, that essentially means we need to kill one the non-townie and have kpaca shoot the other one to end the mess. If we lynch a townie, bad things happen.

On a related note, pass, can you give us a summary of what the items you have in your possession do?

Well, I'm glad we're on the same page as it means we're already two thirds of the way there.

Considering we're still playing the game, this means the Mafia hasn't won yet. This means there's only one left. And this means we can't afford to screw up.

Now considering, we don't know the sanity level of burboy or his side of the story, there really isn't much to go off on. But the lack of a second kill (thank you kpaca for keeping that last bullet to yourself), if we are to believe that kpaca will continue to sit on the kill, which I'm inclined to.

I want to put kpaca as town.
Pass, I like, and information from yesterday seemed to have some basis in fact, though his story isn't compatible with what happened.
Chubbz, your Necrocomicon story has lost veracity since burboy has been proven to be an actual vig.

If I had to go after anyone, it would be, nay, will be you.

But I want to hear other voices before we start.

... well, with less than 24 hours to deadline, it's time to put some fire under this pot.

    vote burboy

I wish there was slightly more time to work through this but I much rather see a potential sk dead then go into night with no lynch. I'm also okay with having pass or kpaca hammer, so they can take that into their own initiative.

That is a good of choice of action as any I can think of.

My suggestion that if burboy doesn't show up by noon sometime tomorrow, we have kpaca lynch, but if he doesn't show up, we'll have pass hammer.
