I've moved to Oklahoma City and need/want a group of people to play EDH/Commander with, preferably on Sundays. Is there anyone here at or around OKC who can play Magic some time on Sunday?
Also, we should totally unban painter's servant (and probably ban Iona for being an unpleasant cow). Seems like a no-brainer at this point.
I agree with this, but in addition to banning Iona we should also ban Grindstone. This might mean more cards are banned but it's honestly not a big deal in my opinion because seriously, who plays Grindstone? By banning Servant it's already been pseudo-banned because there's no reason to run it. And yes, Painter's Servant can combo with other cards, but outside of Iona and Grindstone none of the combos are infinite. I'd be more worried about two card infinite combos than two-card combos that don't actually win.
As others have said, rock certainly isn't dead, it's just changed forms. 3 Rock Bands I really like right now are The Arctic Monkeys, The Black Keys and The Kills (NOT the Killers, I haven't really listened to The Killers), and none of these bands are totally obscure either!
this sounds like what ants or bees do-- a colony and hive mind working in unity with little to no thought towards individuality. On the bright side I can see how it could be extremely productive-- ants can build elaborate structures and have proven to be very good at solving problems that even computers have issues with (http://sydney.edu.au/news/84.html?newsstoryid=6165). That said, everyone wants to feel somehow unique or individual, and trying to get people to completely work for the colony/whole/greater good while suppressing all individuality would go against some of the most base parts of what it means to be human.
Hey, I have been looking through various cards trying to determine a deck I might enjoy, and one card that seems really cool is Illusionist's Bracers. I'm wondering what some of the best generals would be to really abuse this? The two I have thought of off the top of my head are Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker or Arcanis, the Omnipotent. If anyone else has any good ideas please share!
Hey guys, so I recently found out that I've been accepted for an internship in Albany, New York, where I will be for ~3 months. The issue, however, is I still need someone to sublet my apartment. I have been talking to friends but most people already have a place, so I have been wondering about posting on craigslist. However, I am not sure about the trustworthiness/types of people who might browse the site, so I was wondering if anyone had any experience with this and could tell me whether my fears are ill-founded or not. Thanks for any help you can offer!

Creature- Elephant Shaman
2/3
When Terasto-WolSHaman enters the battlefield, destroy up to x noncreature permanents. For each permanent destroyed this way, its controller puts a 3/3 green elephant creature onto the battlefield.
Bonus points to anyone who can guess my favorite card in EDH
On the topic of Red and White getting card draw/tutors without breaking the color pie:
White could get a few more artifact and enchantment tutors. It already has things like Idyllic Tutor, Enlightened Tutor and Academy Rector. Perhaps if it got a 3-5 mana Fabricate effect or something similar, it would help without breaking the color pie. Then it could get some of the artifact-card draw spells consistently (i.e. Mind's Eye or Staff of Nin). In addition to this,
Meanwhile, for red it could focus on small-creature (power/toughness-wise) tutoring. It already has a few effects that are kind of like this, such as Goblin Matron (Yes I know this gets goblins, but most of them tend to have low P/Ts), and, most notoriously, Imperial recruiter. If it got a few more spells like those, which let it grab cheap/small creatures, it could possibly stand a fighting chance, because Red does have a few interesting utility creatures already.

Close. It's Blue Eyes White Dragon. His thundershock attack is broken.
