I love your articles. The way you narrate your deckbuilding and your games are truly fun to read. While some people are finding it difficult to build decks, you make it seem really easy. Great job.

Would it be possible for you to build some duel decks? Just two decks that are very balanced and very interesting to play against each other. Themes could be the usual tribal (plants vs zombies? i mean treefolk vs zombies), pw vs pw, legend/s vs legend/s, heck we could even have enchantments vs artifacts.

Karn is the Destroyer if we are to believe todays video spoiler.

He can be both, he can save the Mirrans by destroying Mirrodin itself (it is the New Phyrexia anyway)

I would love to see Rabiah and Ulgrotha revisited.

On a different note, anyone knows Creative's policy regarding "jumping back to old timelines"? Any chance getting a flashback block/set like the Urza block? Like what happened maybe on the other planes of the Shard, or how the Guildpact came to be (esp. Paruns), or a Thran block. Lots of history that could be revisited and expounded upon.

I somehow find it unbelievable for Lightning Bolt to be printed as common (was expecting it as uncommon). That's good I guess, at least I don't have to spend $3~ for each anymore (assuming it won't reach that price).

2)&5) also, all old planeswalkers who survived have been most likely depowered to the state of neo-walkers, because in the Mending the very nature of sparks has changed. Only Bolas is still full powered planeswalker, because he run away from Multiverse.

Does it mean that if Bolas returns to the Multiverse he will be depowered too?
I find this very ridiculous and stupid: WHERE THE HELL IS A PLACE OUTSIDE OF THE MULTIVERSE?!?! But then it was Bolas...:muh:

(I hate to quote it, because there are so many lies on old planeswalkers. They also had to draw mana from lands. Some agree with Brady that Karona's meeting didn't happen. Maybe that's good idea, because it mean that Mirrodin didn't happen, so then TS didn't happen as well).

Uhmm, what does this mean? Sorry I haven't read the Onslaught/Mirrodin novels...

I was a little disappointed by Jhoira of the Ghitu too. Mainly because she's an evergreen character in my mind who's been strapped to a block mechanic. I always figured something with artifacts would suit her best. I'm also one of the few people I've met who doesn't like the art.

Same here. I really wonder how Wizards come up with legendary card designs.:-/ BTW, Teferi should have phasing and should be able to phase in/out other permanents. Grin

The Planeswalker Enchantments of planeshift are a bit disappointing considering the fact that its suppose to be a spell of the particular planeswalker in the art.

Uhmm, who is this planeswalker? Tevesh Szat?

There possibly could be, but we don't know that. Creating a time rifts isn't that easy. Possibly, only very rare circumstances can lead to their creation.

First, we need cataclysmic events which will create rifts - wounds in fabric of Multiverse. These can have various effects, usually extraplanar, affecting other planes around more seriously than the plane they were created in.

Second, we need some factor changing rifts to time rifts - bridges to other timestreams, each holding its own Multiverse. As we know, time rifts are very dangerous and can cause collapse of entire timestream (multiverse), so I doubt there are any others around.

I really wish there are scattered time rifts around the multiverse. I would want to see some 'unmending' event to happen which will again alter the essence of the planeswalker spark which would in turn produce old-school planeswalkers every once in a while. But that won't happen anyway. Mad

the gameplay and storywise are really far apart.

My friend tried to create a comic way back then based on an actual Magic game (yeah we once recorded a game, every spell, every move, every turn) and he never finished it due to some game vs flavor conflicts... As a Vorthos I really want to see a game in a very flavorful way (ala animation or comics), but again that won't happen. Mad

my mind goes back to the vast Daru Plains of my youth, and instantly my connection to that land is secure
a creature is good at traversing a given land without being seen
So the land is not really transferred to the duel's location, just a connection established. Then how would landwalk work? I always thought lands were 'summoned' to the battledfield so there would be a place where these creatures can 'walk'. I'm getting confused....

    I've got two questions:

    1. Are there time rifts in other planes? I just finished rereading the TS trilogy, and based on it time rifts are caused by grand-scale magical events. I guess these events are not limited to Dominaria, they could have occurred in other planes, so these planes should have time rifts also. If that's the case, is the multiverse still not fully safe?

    2. How would you explain a game of Magic in terms of flavor? I mean, what does playing a land do? And how does landwalk really work?
