Moxen allow for us to have mana without needing to play land. This is important as it lets us play some lock pieces faster and also lets us "catch up" if we want to force an active tax.

You don't need creatures main. The real strength of parfait comes from negating cards that are commonly played. The obvious ones here are wasteland and creature removal. Charbelcher is a nice supplemental win especially on the merit of being a single card the synergizes with what the deck does naturally. Game 2 is generally where you would add creatures as they are likely to board out creature removal and creatures also give us a way to pressure other combo decks. FWIW blind obedience is a good card here as well as it also provides a way to win with extort.

    Hope that answers your questions.

Mox D sysnergises with Land Tax early doors (adding a mana source without upping the land count) and provides much needed acceleration. When you land tax and scroll rack you often hold a land back when digging for 7/8 cards just so that if you hit a Mox you get an addition almana that turn, and likely a land too- that way suddenly, for example, 5 mana appears where there was just 3.

Thalia actually is a pain against our deck, if I was going to run a 3 cc critter (other than Peacekeeper from the board) I would choose big Thalia, which disrupts one-sidedly at least, and could bounce back to hand if you chose to run Karakas. Thalia I hurts us a lot. I would consider Spirit of the Labyrinth over her, its tutorable at least, although to be honest you will switch their removal on. A lot of people play an Elspeth, which can churn out dudes that fly over almost everything if you resolve a Humility. I have uses Kjeldoran outpost too to make dudes. Critters can be a tertiary win con in most Parfait lists (after a combo e.g. Helm or Belcher) and a Cursed Scroll type card.

Even if you are mono-W it is worth considering Blood Moon and a mountain main or Forest/Choke from the board etc. if you do run Mox-Ds

I didn't even think about using mox d to keep procing land tax im dumb lol. Thanks for the help!

I would second that- Mox D or Crome Mox is important I feel. I actually suggest that if you do really want to run underwhelming looking Scrying sheets (which I know were good in Quinn with Top and stuff) then Dark Depths is a snow land, and Solemnity has just been printed, whilst Phyrexian Unlife is a good Parfait-ish type card that happens to interact strongly with Solemnity to make a pretty hard to break lock against some decks. The three synergise well- scrying sheets needs a reason to be run, I am not sure just drawing plains is enough, maybe a Depth Build with a different combo could be a reason. Pretty sure there is a huge cumulative upkeep snow critter as well that intereacts favorably with Solemnity and could be Sheeted to hand.... Just throwing it out there, it would need work, as well as no Humilities!

There is never a reason to have 3 o ring- Blinding Light (??) /O ring splits are always better due to Echoing Truth. Cast out is good too for digging one more card towards combo-town in my experience. Probably won't be relevant until the Show and tell player hits two orings for the price of one with ET.

Sceptre- well I like it but it is not stellar even if Decays have become fewer in number, but if you want the old Quinn feel then it might trap someone. I can't see the need for Thalia either, just as Weapon X noted, its a great card but this is not D N T.

I'd probably cut down on scrying sheets and have either mox diamond or chrome mox available. I would also cut Thalia, especially if you want to play sceptre.

Thanks for the replies! This must be me misunderstanding but if I play mono white what is the purpose of the mox diamond or chrome mox? Also, I through Thalia in there because I assumed I would need at least some creatures to attack with in case I was in a position where I couldn't win with my combo. Is this a valid concern or do cards like Goblin Charbelcher cover your bases if you cant win with rest in peace + helm
