Thraben Inspector is a simple 1/2 for W that investigates when it comes into play. I could see it being used in white affinity decks. Gives you an artifact early and, once not needed, a cantrip.
where I see this being played is in boros kitty, it gives an artifact that is never dead, since it can be returned to get an early creature in play, sacrificed to get 3 goblins or gives the deck a way to draw cards at instant speed when you are holding mana up for removal. I definitely think this card will see play. Maybe not in pure affinity but definitely the boros varieties.
I actually have played these decks quite extensively both online and IRL. I think the biggest downfall of your lists are their mana bases. For Pauper 3 color storm, I run a 13 land manabase,
Sorry for the confusion I wasn't calling you silly, however I was trying to point out that there are many viable tier decks in each of the mono colored varieties. I do have a battle bag actually but its more defined by the decks that are good rather than by strict color segregation. For instance I have delver and high tide as blue decks. I have infect and stompy at green decks. I have goblins and burn as red decks. But if you do want to stick to each and you do have a bunch of players who enjoy pauper I know they will appreciate those decks changing once and a while. Some times ppl get tired of playing against delver and would like to see whirlpool combo.
I thought the thread was discussing battle bags in general. So as someone who has one I was just telling ppl about options.
A card that hasn't been mentioned yet it Corpse Churn. Giving additional card selection to this instant spell seems pretty strong.
I also think Elemental Uprising is pretty cool, but probably not playable.
elemental uprising may be much better than ppl think, first off its a removal spell in green, being an instant lets it block, Also unless I am unsure about the rules cant you cast it EOT of the opponent for swinging the next turn?
I really feel like just having one at each color range is kind of silly especially when you have 3 or 4 viable blue decks, and at least 3 viable green decks.
Also it occurs to me that UG elves would probably be best for that slot, since its actually a tier deck.
I'd probably expand it to 2 of the mono colored varieties and one of the multi color varieties.
I know its a lot of decks but its pauper after all. You dont have to take all the decks each time you use them.
I am not sure which is the most consistent way to go off but I like having a critical mass of ways. Also Shield sphere is MVP since it turns trinket mage into a wall basically and gives you tons of time vs. agro.
for RB there was a list back in the day that was played and might be more relevant now that there is more mana fixing:
Also, I know you have included burn, but you should also probably have Mono red goblins in that list as well. It does better against a number of matchups, has deathspark, and goblin grenade.
I have a bag of 17 deck atm but I play with no banlist. Probably a bit different. The banlist atm is what I struggle the most with. I wish there was a formal paper pauper banlist.
if you have fissure and Search banned you can try this instead, You need to become much more serious about protecting cloud of faeries. Muddle is a very good tutor here as it lets you find a number of very important cards and also some SB cards as well.
There is also a full on arcane deck that is interesting that uses splice, not sure how good it is.
If there was an actual paper ban list (even if I dont agree with it) alteast I could get people behind playing it. At the moment that is the only thing I see keeping pauper from being a format for real.
Combo walls is also a fun deck here is what I came up with:
High tide + .....
The infinite combo is Mancer +cloud + Flicker = infinite mana
mancer + flicker + mancer = infinite spells/draw/mill (compulsive Research)
Mancer + Flicker + oracle can also draw out your good cards as well.
This deck needs more land; it really wants to go T1 whatever, T2 accelerator, T3 4-drop which means hitting 3 lands by turn 3. You're not going to do that consistently with 20 lands - I would go up at least to 23, maybe drop 1 bonespliitter 1 firebolt 1 hunger or predator?
Also, it seems wrong to be using splitter over rancor in a green deck, though I can see arguments either way - may actually be worth testing a split for a while and seeing in practice how often you tell yourself "damn I wish that were..." the other card.
One of the best creature you have to equip already has trample. It also gives you another 1 drop. Im also worried about bounce spellswhich are likely to be more prevalent now. I could see cutting the hungers allb together for 2 lands (maybe cycle lands) and a 4th bone splitter.
Kumbri gardens might also be a great land to add since it makes bodies.
I like the synergy here. Lots of ways to turn Morbid on to get the most punch
I considered Wild Cantor as a possible 1 drop but Satyr is probably better, I love how you don't have to sacrifice card advantage to get morbid going. All of the Eldrazi spawn makers are card advantage, and bonesplitter turns them all into 2/1's.
Haha, eventually yes, I will. But Karn Liberated is 40 a piece last I looked. Wurmcoils, Grove of the Burnwillows are 15-25 piece themselves. A stock Modern list would cost in the neighborhood of 400 plus dollars. Somewhat inexpensive by Modern standards but still more than I can afford right now

just a thought.

Oh, I thought you meant the pauper version lol.
