will test as a maindeck option. may even use acetone on a foil to remove the stupid companion mechanic from the card. would have much preferred a straight up ban to having to include cards with incorrect rules text in my cube.
complete ***** show. can cut all companions from my testing list except I will still try lurrus out which I think is the only one that may have enough legs to stand on its own.
Looking at stats it's been a top 10 black card in my unpowered list with a main deck percentage of 83% and a 63% win rate.
A big fat flying trampler can be hard enough for most decks to deal with on its own, but it also can dig pretty deep. This card just straight up hoses a lot of green decks.
It's been pretty quiet on the forum lately but I thought I might share a project I have been working on while doing all this social isolation business. It is mostly for my own personal enjoyment but I thought others might like to see some of the information I have if they find it beneficial/interesting.
I am going to be doing a yearly post recording the rankings of cards in my cube after the release of the spring set. The rankings are solely based on maindeck percentage and win/loss ratios and are different from the power rankings that have been done before because the rankings do not reflect all cards, only the ones in my list that I have sufficient data for. It is based 100% off results with no corrections to cards that are "strictly better" and theoretically should be ranked higher.
I have collected the results on a new wix website I made for my cube and you can find the breakdown of rankings by colour, section, guild, or overall under the "Rankings" tab on the menu. There is also other general information on my cube as well as blog posts on new inclusions and spoiler discussion under the updates tab.
Had a good experience with kraken the other day and will give it a bit more time to prove itself. I am waiting to see how it will play with the addition of rielle, the everwise and if a looting/drawing archetype can help it find more of a home.
nighthawk is guaranteed to stonewall any threat if you need it.
Nighthawk is guaranteed to have evasion if you need it.
Nighthawk is guaranteed to give you lifegain if you need it.
this card does none of that. this card says 10% of the time i'll be what you need.
I don't want a card that isn't what I want 90% of the time.
He currently gets maindecked about 47% of the time and decks that run him have won just over 61% of their games which ranks him 22nd out of 50 blue cards in my section based solely off win percentage.
If you rate maindeckability and win percentage equally he drops to 38th/50.

looking forward to collecting some stats on these guys.

I have also attached the top 10 for each section as a little preview of the full stats that can be found on the wix site.
Hope you are all staying healthy out there!

I think this might be the first time I am testing a card that hasn't made your top 20 list.
Voracious Greatshark isn't the most competitive card but I think it will shine more than some of the other lower options on the list.
