If its that easy to beat why you complaining about it? if you dont wanna play them why are we even having this discussion, dont play it, kill all the baneslayers. If you have to ask yourself why people play something... look at casual players why do they play casually????? cause its a game!!!! so what a baneslayer is 50 bucks, get a good job and buy an entire set of every card in magic..

i wanted the ability to be negative to whoever uses it, for example i figure it will be used in a reanimation style deck reanimate big creatures so on so forth, but i dont want it to ONLY be used for that, a card with only one real use kinda makes it a little less fun.

Now whats awesome about this is you can play decks that will kill lands, with no real condition, and when you play this he figures hey i can still win, soo he plays lands and starts taking more and more damage, lockdown his creatures and you win i dunno sounds like a whole box of fun to me (as a control player)

i want it to be a card thats playable in not just an aggro deck but in all types of black decks. anyhoo let me know if you guys have anymore questions or advice.

    Return to Darkness 2BBB

    Enchantment

All permanents in play become black in addition to they're other colors.

At the beginning of each players upkeep that player may return target creature, enchantment or land from they're graveyard into play with a Darkness counter onto it. Lose 1 life for each darkness counter in play.

Im not sure if i worded that right but essentially people lose life every upkeep regardless if they bring back a permanent. any idea's on how i can word this?

    Prizes based on 40 players

    Proxy Rules:
There are two types of acceptable proxies for use in this tournament series. The first and most basic is taking a basic land card and writing the details of the card on it. The second method is to take a card that shares some of the characteristics with the card that is being proxied and erase any characteristics that do not match, replacing them with the correct characteristics.

All proxies must have the following text neatly printed, using a extra fine point sharpie. Ball point pens may not be used:
    • The full name of the card (no abbreviations or nicknames)
    • Correct casting cost of the card including all colored mana symbols
    • All relevant/game effecting text

When choosing what card to use as the base for an erased proxy players must follow these rules:
    • The mana cost of the base spell must be the same as the card being proxied
    • The type of the card being proxied must be the same as the base card.
    • The P/T of a creature being proxied must be the same as the base creature P/T
    • When proxying a creature it may be difficult to find a creature where all characteristics match. In this case, mana cost is the most important, followed by the P/T, followed by the subtype. Any characteristics that do not match must be erased and corrected.
    • The art box, card name, and text box must be totally erased. White out may not be used for this as it affects the stiffness of the card and may mark it.
    • When adding text to the card do not use a ball point pen. An extra fine point sharpie is the best thing to use. A ballpoint pen can cause indentations on the card marking it.
    • For clarity reasons, the use of cards with the new card frame is strongly encouraged

    Examples:
    • Welding Jar or Spellbook can be used for a Mox or Black Lotus
    • Disarm could be used for an Ancestral Recall
    • Train of Thought for a Time Walk
    • Counsel of the Soratami for a Timetwister.

    How to Erase a Card:
Acetone and a cotton ball or q-tip works well, as does a pencil/ink eraser (the white/grey split type) using the grey side. Before erasing the card, take masking tape and tape off all the areas that you don't want erased for a clean edge. It will take time, but it will come off.

Soooo Alot of people with the blowfly deck went the GB Route Which is fine and all but i thought about another possibility

    BUR????

Graven Cairns+Sunken Ruins+Reflecting pool = pretty good fixers!

Ummmm i ended up adding a few creatures who have potential of being pretty considerable finishers for a lost cost as well as good synergy with the knight!

I added a fate transfer 1 single one:P just for the sneaky hey look big creature cant attack or block now trick hehe!

I thought about everlasting torment like a few suggested but in the end! your creatures sucks if they get counters on them!

I added Oona cause shes sick Pretty much! umm Punctured bolt is pretty strong against bombs that you would otherwise not be able to kill. I mean look for yourself let me know what you guys think Tom Email me if you wanna know more about my decisions! Also im getting into t1 soo if you wanna trade some of your techy stuff away to me for some block stuff i'd be more then happy to!

    Heres the list!

    // Lands
    4 [SHM] Sunken Ruins
    1 [LRW] Vivid Marsh
    1 [LRW] Vivid Creek
    3 [IN] Swamp (2)
    3 [APL] Island (2)
    2 [MI] Mountain (3)
    4 [SHM] Reflecting Pool
    4 [SHM] Graven Cairns

    // Creatures
1 [SHM] Oona, Queen of the Fae
    4 [SHM] Oona's Gatewarden
    2 [SHM] Slinking Giant
    2 [SHM] Tatterkite

So lets explain my changes for ya tom.

I added into the north because i thought with snow lands its a great way to ramp upto more mana aswell you can go turn 2 into the north and turn 3 drop a 4cost on lands and it searches out your red mana or green mana depending on your needs.

I added Treetop Village mostly because they're 3 toughness and can be activated after you pyroclasm, and a 3/3 trampler is better then a 2/1 first strike.

I dropped the martyrs mostly because they're not very usefull as a 1drop because your main goal is to drop a turn 1 ghitu(before i replaced them) and turn 2 a mindstone is probably better then a martyr it kinda loses speed and wastes a turn if you drop a tap land first.

I dropped mosstroll mostly because its a bomb but you need 10 power otherwise its a 5/5 for WAY to much mana.

I dropped deus mostly because its not very evasive and powerful enough, where as titans not as much of a target because of its abilities, i'd rather gain more mana to titans revenge or play more then 1 mass damage spell incase of counters.

I added skred cause i think you have sufficiant snow lands to actually kill tarmogoyfs easily.

I added Mwonvuli acid moss because its good against Ramp decks it keeps them down and ramps you up.

This deck deffinately has potential and we were actually gonna build a deck like this. As for stuffy doll i'd try to keep it at 2 and it has really good synergy with Skred!. To get around Story Circle use stuffy!

Another thing i'd suggest trying is Primal Command it'll pretty much become a time walk, you return a tap land (if they have one) to the top of their library and search for a bomb creature like titan!.

Anyways its kinda vague reasons for the changes let me know what you think give me feedback test some of the changes if you'd like i know i'll be trying this!

Soo i started magic in Urza's Destiny a while back for some, but when i started foils were just starting to hit the market, and i remember getting my first box EVER on Christmas and it was fantastic Urza's Destiny. When i opened my first foil rare EVER i was sooo happy! Ancient silverback i remember like it was yesterday! I'd love to buy a box of Urza's Destiny just to pull 1 again! Not because its a bomb rare or its a 50 dollar card. But because it was my first Box and first foil Rare EVER tahts what makes it stand out in my mind.
