Yeah, limited and maybe, just maybe, pauper. Honestly, when i saw the Fugitive Wizard with eternalize, I was like 'oh, that would be really cute value in Dimir Alchemy in pauper, but I'm not sure it's even worth playing there, it's so expensive!'.
Why wouldn't you run dusk // dawn in main? It's a one-sided wrath for this deck, with all its creatures being either dinky or indestructible, and it also is an insane grinding tool if the game really stalls out.
Is cast out really what this deck wants to be doing? It can kill pw's pretty easily with bontu and bone picker, can chump big creatures or block them with death touch, and can kill small-medium creatures with push. Cast out just seems expensive and unnecessary here to me, at least in the main.
Also, what are your thoughts on ayli in the two color versions? She's basically an easier to cast gifted aetherborn that also incidentally is a sac outlet which can sometimes in this deck actually turn on the vindicate ability with all the lifegain from cutthroat, sacred cat, and bontu.
Yeah, i was thinking I could try cutting cantrips in non-ancestral grixis control for 3-4 of this, say 2 serum and a scour, and maybe a tasigur at that pout to get to 4.
Why has Dark Confidant been rising overall by about 75% (online price) since AER release? Looking at the metagame, the only deck that plays it anymore is traditional jund, which is somewhere in Tier 2 or 3.
Given that the other deities all required something about the entire gamestate, I figured a modified Formidable (8 power among other creatures) would have fit a lot better than Ferocious, but it would also have been a lot worse. Eh. Also, though, it seems to me that Kefnet isn't the hardest to activate, since threat of activation does a lot to discourage attacks (ie you only need 5 cards in hand for 1 activation with land bounce to make him live for blocking and eating things).
Has anyone else tried condemn in white-splashing smallpox decks? I've been testing it as a 2-3 of alongside a murderous cut and 4 pox (I run a 3/1 bridge split as well, I really hate just dying to a few swings of a single goyf or something), and I've been liking it, although the 'attacking' restriction has been slightly annoying a couple of times.
In lists with 3-4 of liliana and nahiri, what do you think of asylum visitor? In a deck with a lot of cheap removal/discard, I'd think it'd be drawing you a card or two a lot of the time before dying. Also, the madness is really nice with those two planeswalkers' pluses. On the other hand, its a huge removal target, but you could run other value creatures alongside it like grim lavamancer and young pyromancer.
