You know, shortly after I posted that, I was re-reading it a few times to make sure, and I completely neglected the "up to" phrasing of the spell mastery section. D'oh! >_<
So I'm curious about the way spell mastery changes the effect of a given card... Is it a straight replacement (the spell mastery text replaces the original spell text)?
i.e., I cast Gather the Pack and there are say two creatures amongst the revealed cards, and maybe I'm running heavy dredge/flashback/retrace/"reanimate"/etc.
Now, say I don't WANT to take any of the creatures, so I opt not to, and everything lands in the graveyard. Nice and simple. But, wait, what if I have spell mastery; the wording of the spell mastery effect doesn't say "may", so I want to take this to mean that I HAVE to take those two creatures...
Am I taking wording too literally there, or do I have that correct?
So, this came up in a game recently, and was quite certain I knew how it worked, but I could not find the specific rule to cite which explicitly says so...
If multiple triggered abilities trigger from the same event, and I control said triggers, I get to control how they go on the stack, correct?
I can choose to trigger Growing Ranks first, copying a token, giving me four tokens, then trigger Endless Ranks to give me six total (as opposed to the five I would have if it happened in the opposite order), correct?
Sorry to hijack this thread, but it was so similar to the question I had been trying to find an answer for. >-<
Say for example, you substitute the Doubling Season for a Second Harvest in, the second set of tokens would stick around, correct? Because they're not brought into play by Chandra, so they do't have the exile clause tacked onto them...Or am I missing something. o-o
First time posting here, so sorry if I overstep any bounds or what not. :x
Still kinda fresh to the finer points of EDH rulings (I was on an MtG break when it came out), for example; does a commander retain it's commander property (and notably, does it still deal "commander damage" or whatever you call it) if it becomes a copy of something?
Such as using Scion of the Ur-Dragon as a commander. You swing, and activate it's ability; does your opponent (assuming unblocked, or trample damage) take ordinary, run of the mill damage, or damage that counts towards the 21 pseudo-poison-counters mechanic?
I could not for the life of me find anything that would clarify this, so some help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Thank you, though!

And yeah, I kinda flubbed what I meant; in my head I was thinking "resolve growing before endless" but typed "trigger growing before endless"

Ex., I have Growing Ranks, Endless Ranks of the Dead and three Zombie tokens already.
