Yeah, I've played a few more games and I can say that evasion is the king of this format. Board stalls happen very quickly and I've won my games through flyers which is in line with your results with the U/B deck you faced. Perhaps I've been looking at Epiphany at the Drownyard wrong. Maybe that card is this deck's Collected Company although that's probably too much of a stretch.
I'll try cutting green and let you know what happens.
Also, what were you playing? Midrange? Control? Aggro?
To be blunt, they can't match you creature for creature. With Elemental Bond out, you can out gas them no problem.
Westvale Abbey can be a problem if the game goes long enough, yeah. Maybe the Sidisi's Faithful should be main, but we probably still lose to The Profane One.
The mana base isn't that terrible for 3 colors, especially since I'll be upgrading the g/b taplands for Llanowar Wastes. Those cards you mentioned as plausible replacements for Elemental Bond are mana intensive and also strange suggestions since your first question was regarding creature output.
As for Crumble to Dust... I hope you're accelerating into that, otherwise turn 4 LD seems kinda meh.
I'll play more games with it and see what I can come up with. Maybe I'll log a few games so everyone can see how it plays out.
This deck is fun, but seems really soft to Declaration in Stone. Elemental Bond really ties this hot mess together. Obviously the manabase and sideboard could be much better.
It's kind of bad when you don't have Bond, but I'm not really sure what I can use for a backup engine. Maybe Sea Gate Wreckage? Llanowar Wastes and Yavimaya Coast could accommodate at least a 1 copy. I might cut a couple of Despoiler, but having 12 guys that can come back and fuel Bond feels pretty good so far.
I own a list similar to this on paper, but instead of the Pack Guardians and the counterspells I'm running Collected Company and Sylvan Advocate. Those are the two cards to look at when looking to upgrade.
On MODO I don't have the resources to replicate my paper list.
This list stomps all over control and mid-range mirrors, but seems to have a little problem with aggro decks, especially ones with evasion like Insolent Neonate and Heir to the Night and seems prone to being overrun by weenies. What's a good sideboard plain against these annoying aggro decks? I run extra Stratus Dancers and Negates for the control matchups and I feel "pre-boarded" against the midrange mirrors, so what sort of cards should I be looking for against aggro? Jaddi Offshoot? Pulse of Murasa? The main problem I see is that they have 1 drops, so our draw go approach is useless.
I love that this list can beat up all the control decks by playing on their endstep and forcing them to tap out on their turn so you can setup a massive Surrak alpha-strike. I might replace a Pack Guardian with the third Surrak. I was thinking of a red splash for Eldrazi Obligator for the added explosiveness which is what this deck loves. I'm playing 25 lands to insure that I curve out from two to four and Lumbering Falls being my "five".
