I finally found official mention of the collector’s boosters. On the ravnica allegiance product page under additional products they list the collector’s boosters. So far i have been very lucky with this set and i hope to find some collector’s boosters in the next few weeks to increase my payroll!
—- update —— There are a few videos on youtube that show the packs and what is inside. I like the fact you get foils in every pack. The guy that opened the japanese box got 2 rare foils, 2 planeswalkers, 3 shocklands and some pretty good rares and uncommons. Basically a booster box with three times as many foils, 12 extra uncommons and the only commons were foil!
Dropped by walmart on saturday and no collectors boosters to be seen. There were still some of those crappy repack plastic boxes left though...........
As a Magic fan and consumer, I personally am firmly against any change that pulls their customers towards the tempting yet treatcherous booster lottery. I dislike boosters like these and showdown boosters that are only made for cracking and hoping to get lucky, and I dislike masterpieces because they increase the value variance and at the same time tempt gullible people, those that are willing to take a chance even though they know that the house always wins, to buy boosters and hope to get a lottery card.
Why? Because not getting rewarded for those gambles, which is the average result, leads to disappointment and the feeling of having been duped, and those feelings do not create long lasting customers and new loyal Magic players. It provides a short term cash grab, but turns people away in the long term. That's not a good long term plan for the game as a whole.
Look at it this way, there are 2 golden tickets in each pack! Less **opens booster** “meh”, and more ** opens good stuff ** “YEAh!!!!!!”
I am going to apply for a credit card with a 3,000 dollar spending limit so I can buy 5 or 6 cases of BFZ in order to get at least 5 zendikar expeditions.......
I think this card rules! I like the flavor. I think the card should be a colored artifact though. either blue/white or blue/black maybe only the dreadnought half of the card should be colored. I like the card a lot and good job!
i like the art on this card better than the original. i personally didnt like this card from the beginning but this art is awesome! ill take 4 of those! probably just one for an EDH deck since i dont really play extended or legacy. this card was competitive in T2 constructed and limited. i bet this is more of a gimmick to hype up the commander decks. think about it. oh i bought a WUG commander deck and i have a cool foil warmonk to put in it! lol.
I realize there cannot be a second stack when it comes to playing spells and abilities. I believe that using morph abilities does not use the stack. has this changed? when time spiral was in popular play and split second spells ran amuck i thought morphing a willbender could counter a split second spell......:-/
i think your answer to the question about the kuldotha flamefiend is incorrect. you said that you choose targets for the flamefiends 4 damage ability, then as it resolves you sacrifice an artifact. clearly the flamefiend says "when kuldoth flamefiend enters the battlefield, you may sacrifice an artifact. if you do, kuldotha flamefiend deals 4 damage divided as you choose between any number of target creatures and/or players." i think these abilities are separate although you will not get to trigger the ability to deal 4 damage if you do not sacrifice an artifact as it enters the battlefield because the triggered ability happens after the artifact is sacrificed.

8. this could be blanchwood armor, i think it would have to be an enchantment because the tree is obviously attached to him he has not just grown really big.
