Im playing in my local GP (GP Hartford) next week and Ill be playing Jund. Iv been reading a ton of material on jund and iv been playing jund forever now but im scared of the Hollow one and human match up. Dose anyone have any tech for one of those match ups?. I see a few higher level players Geery T and Emma Handy saying that BBE is not good for jund but that cant be correct .
so iv been playing this deck on MTGO all weekend and i cant seem to get a handle on the deck . I own it in real life and i like it alot ,i come from playing jund for over a year along with abzan and other mid range decks and that may be the problem . I have a hard time closeing games out before other decks do the modern thing . i guess im saying the deck feels real slow compared to other decks .
I'm to worried that I'd end up playing blood moon and it not doing enough. I always think back to Todd stevens saying he's never lost a game that blood moon resolved, granted he's a damn good player but still I think it would do more harm then good. I'm currently thinking of playing 4x thought seize in the main deck a 4/2 split between inquisition.
So Im gonna be playing in a SCG IQ in a few weeks and I plan on playing jund basically the ried duke build but the last time I played I ran in to a lot of eldrazi trn. I was wondering if you guys had any sb tech or tips on this match up .I know its kinda a poor match up and im not trying to turn it into a great match up I just would like to even the odds if i can .
i firmly believe that mid-range jund is not tier 3 at all . more then likely it just dosent have the number of players needed to be tire 2 or 1 just because most people are playing jund deaths shadow. jund is still a solid deck and is really just a personal choice. im playing reid dukes jund and having a blast and doing well.
Hey just posting my most updated list. Nothing to big from the last time I posted it.

I'm still happy with no bolt and a full set of fatal push. I did go down one kolaghan's command to try out one engineered explosive I was wanting a good catch all and something that can take down a few death's shadows at a time.
I am trying olivia voldaren in the sb I never had a chance to play her when she's was in her prime so idk about her yet.
Hello all. So I have been playing around with reckless zoo for about a year on and off I figure I'd show you my list. It's nothing revolutionary lol.

A few points I wanted to talk about. First thing is hidden herbalist, I found that card to be sub par and clunky so I cut it and added Flinthoof in its place. The dexk is not as "explosive" as it could be with the card but iv been happy with out it. As far as my general build I like to keep the general converted mana of my cards below 2cc. With such a low land count I dint want sideboard cards just rotting in my hand. Also my Lgs is vary midrange and control heavy I my self play jund as my main dexk lol but I set the bored up to combat the high amount of removal with selfless spirit and Dromoka's command.
I like playing answers that are creatures if I can to keep my threat density high and not dilute my deck game two. Any way the deck is a blast I won't say it's gonna change the world or anything. If you have any questions I'll try to answer them.
Has Grixis has taken over Jund's role as the premier BR strategy? Is the BG strategy Abzan better than Jund? Has Jund has merged permanently into DSJ?
Tradional Jund is Tier 2 now, coz it seems it's not the optimal build. No results have been put up lately with the deck.
Yes..I know it has been around for ages, but does it seems pointless to optimise a deck which looks sub-optimal in the first place?
Jund is dead, long live the King?
I don't think jund is dead, I think jund is a way of life. What I mean by that is I personally prefer how jund plays then death's shadow jund and I played a good amount of death's shadow decks I just don't feel it. I own all the cards for both jund and abzan but I just can't quit kolaghan's command. I'm sure that you have herd this a million times but modern is a format where you pick a deck and master it. I have one guy at My Lgs that just plays skred day in And day out and he is a master of that deck.
Also as a side not I have noticed that jund and abzan have been jockeying for the same space on mtggoldfish... Abzan usually takes over lol.
This is my current build. Iv been having a good amount of success with this build

Iv been enjoying this build it feels more Grindy then previous builds iv played. My Lgs meta is Weird, alot of people play abzan and fringe control decks like skred. With the 3 kolaghan's command the tireless tracker and Lili of the last hope I can one for one all day then start to pick up creatures or draw my self back In the game with clues. My side bored is set up to have a lot of just solid one of since I can't really count of the meta being the same week to week. People like to play alot of flavor of the week decks or home brews.
I've only been on the deck two weeks (so I could be dead wrong) but I feel like you either want x4 Lightning Bolt or zero.
I really like your build and if I were tempted to cut Lightning Bolt that is how I would build it.
I agree you play 4 bolt or no bolt. I am playing around with the idea of one burst lightning or one forked bolt m
For me those are too expensive. I'd rather just have an extra terminate.
On the topic of terminate i played a single dreadbore over the 3rd terminate. My Lgs has a skred red player and I wanted a nice clean answer to koth of the hammer but dead bore just turned out to be clunky.
This is my current build. Iv been having a good amount of success with this build
