My very first deck where to start? This will be my very first deck within MTG, I'm almost positive a "Red" deck is the way I want to go. I have gotten a simple sample pack to get the basics. Are there any specific booster packs, fat packs etc that I should invest in that would help me grow and to learn all I can?

Being an extremely new player in this game was wondering If anyone could explain the formats, Standard, Modern, etc in simple "guy code" words lol?

Hello good people of MTGSalvation! KidStixx here, I'm extremely new to MTG had a few cards years ago when I was a child but had no clue about the game itself I just like the cards lol. With that said I came across a few MTG videos on YouTube the other day and thought "Man what I missed out on years ago" Instantly started watching video after video and later that night ordered a sample pack of cards to get me started. I am ALWAYS open to tips and tricks anyone would send my way. I catch on quick and most of all have a huge interest for this game and a huge passion as well without playing a single match yet! Im certain I have found a forum,community and hopefully a family where I can learn, grow and become a positive member of this wonderful game (:
