but surely having the basic super type doesn't mean that the lands have all the subtypes i.e plains, island, swamp, mountain and forest...?! They are just basic lands like Wastes right?
Correct. It means that anything that refers to Basic lands affects all of your lands, and that things that refer to nonbasics don't. Nothing more.
Does anybody even like the old gold border? Blake keeps hyping them up, but I just can't get excited about them.
Quite frankly, I've always hated the old border, and I say that as someone who's played Magic for over 20 years. I fully don't understand the obsession with them other than some kind of rose-colored-glasses, back-in-my-day nostalgia.
So uh,.. am I wrong, or does Bloodthirster + Chaos Terminator Lord = 12 combat steps in a single turn? (Assuming 3 opponents)(the bloodthirster can only attack during 3 of them)
Basically all the creatures like this have flash. The purpose is so that you can hold it until it's actually useful instead of just running it out onto the battlefield and *hoping* it does something before it inevitably dies.
The last mode on Cabaretti Confluence honestly confuses me...? Why does it let you target other players? It's *sorcery speed* and only lasts until EoT. You can't combat trick it to pump your opponents creatures at an opportune time, what value does being able to target other players carry?
The note for Go-Shintai of Life's Origin about broke my brain trying to figure out how it didn't directly contradict the wording on the card.
I THINK I've figured it out though, because if you're creating a token copy of Life's Origin, it's not **another** nontoken shrine, it is itself, so it triggers itself.
