A New and Exciting Beginning

The End of an Era

Hey guys, I started playing MTG around the release of Mirage. I loved the art back then and the associated story. Most of my original collection included a lot of Urza's block and Tempest cards. Unfortunately I sold them all and left the game soon after Apocalypse (practically for pennies). After finishing university and getting married, I found some spare time in about 2012 and started getting back in with Innistrad and Planeschase.

I've always been a kitchen table player favoring quirky decks or trying to build around cards that others often avoid. I also love trying to make alternate win conditions an viable. Think Glacial Chasm, Felidar Sovereign, and Quest for Ula's Temple. As I'm getting back into the game I'm picking up all of my mana staples like fetchlands and shocks.

I hardly have a favorite color, though my favorite strategy seems to be some type of board shut down, so maybe control. I've just started playing EDH and absolutely love that and participating in some drafts in the last few months and really prefer that environment.
