Has Mana Reflection been officially previewed yet? If not, then he is probably referring to that.

I see aethertow as more powerful than (some) others are assessing it.

At least in limited I can see these situations.

You both have two untapped creatures. They attack with both. You play and conspire. They stall a turn or two, or just have a lessened board for a bit and you can take advantage of the tempo.

You have two untapped creatures, they have 4. They attack with all of them. You block advantageously for your creatures' survival, and before damage is assigned, you play and conspire, returning the two unblocked creatures to the top of their decks.

There are obvious parallels to Plow Under. Its not as powerful in the stalling sense, since they will still have land to play cards. But also, if they are mana-screwed, this hurts them. If either creature has an Aura, it hurts them. It could be a drawback with a CIP creature. But I haven't even really examined returning your own creatures.

So in my opinion, Aethertow should be a powerful limited trick.

And now that I read the article, I see I have pretty much said what the author said

But I'd rather stay away from Green as Green means Tarmogoyf but I guess if you got the $50 bastards go right ahead.

When did the DCI pass the rule that you had to play 'goyfs if you play Green?

I stared this thread for people to post tips or habits they have at fnm.
one of the things i do is mana shuffle before and after fnm. it helps get rid of mana pockets.

mana shuffling doesn't have any effect since you should be shuffling sufficiently to entirely randomize your deck before every game you play. So don't waste you time and just shuffle enough.

I didn't mean that Morningtide and Eventide would be similar, but that this would hold true:

Eventide is to Shadowmoor as Morningtide is to Lorwyn.

So, the developments they made on Lorwyn's themes/mechanics in Morningtide will be similar to the developments they will make on Shadowmoor's themes/mechanics in Eventide.

oooooh, since Morningtide added class to the race theme of Lorwyn, Eventide will add the parallel to Shadowmoor's color theme. I'm thinking shades. Instead of blue cards, its either Indigo or Powder Blue. Bone or Manilla. Salmon or Rouge.

Btw, Eventide will be co-sponsored by Benjamin Moore and Maybelline.

    yes.

from the info linked by the cardtag

"You play the last ability any time you could play an instant. During its resolution, you play the removed card. This is true even if the removed card is not an instant and could not normally be played at this time."

if its the same they should have just gave it to every FNM shop in the country.

maybe we'll see some of the other tokens that Wotc talked about in the last three packs.

Avataroflaw I salute you for hunting the pack down but I am dissapointed in Wotc.

Disappointed? Really? They do this creative marketing stunt. Provide a cool way of spoiling some more cards.

Of course they likely pre-made the 5, probably identical (though I can't say for sure until we get all the scans) boosters. This is all coordinated with their other preview stuff. It would be stupid to leave it up to chance and ruin the upcoming card previews by their writers. Or to be totally redundant with already previewed cards.

Someone needs to solve the other 3 puzzles solely from the faded out pictures of all the pieces that are up right now.

    They would be my hero
