Personally I think this card is awesome, and not nearly as overpowered as the last version was. Love where they are going with this horrors and abominations, scratching my Lovecraft itch in MTG
Hey everyone, thanks for the input and questions.
GPash: Indeed some of the best and easiest wins can come from a proper vampire curve totally ignoring the reanimation angle, I'm not sure if that's a good thing as its an alternative way to win or if it's just diluting the decks plan, I'm hoping the former? I messed around with Corrupted Grafstone and Hedron Archive and felt like I would rather just have cards that do something. The manabase most definitely needs work.
Motley: I did try a version with Atarka, which also definitely works great, but I guess I'm trying to force a different direction due to changing what cards I have available online.
First big change is I'm now running Necromantic Summons instead of Ever After, getting to 6 in time was proving too difficult against some faster decks and the ability to raise your opponents creatures from the graveyard can be awesome<re: Atarka>. I've tried to clean up the list since my initial post, getting rid of some of the one of's in exchange for better consistency. Some things I like about this color combo over UB: Access to Nahiri, which I now have as a 4 of in place of Archangel Avacyn, Olivia, who by ditching a card can give anything haste. Sin Prodder also is working wonders, I'm surprised this card isn't being used anywhere else, the menace alone is great. I also have fallen in love with Void Winnower, I was just playing against GW Tokens and they literally could not answer it, or block it <tokens are even casting cost creatures apparently>, also fantastic against ramp. Only deck I've played against so far that I felt I had no chance against was the UR Eldrazi list running 20 counter spells, but I suppose that's to be expected with a deck like this. Current list for those who are interested:
Hello everyone, I've been messing around with a reanimation style Mardu deck and was curious if anyone had any input on how I might be able to improve in the current metagame. I've had some good decent success thus far and have enjoyed the deck. I know the manabase is a mess, very rough. Here's what I'm working with:
Some initial thoughts, clearing up the manabase, Nahiri as extra removal/discard/search for a creature.
Olivia so far has been the MVP of the deck, ditching later reanimation targets to give new creatures haste, or cast Ever After targeting Olivia and another creature to give that second larger creature haste and +1/+1.
Any help, thoughts, or criticisms are very welcome. By no means is this perfect but I'm hoping to make it more competitive. The Sideboard so far is hand disruption for control and creature control for Humans/tokens. Thanks for taking a look!
Looking for some comments on this deck idea. Have been playing around with this shell online to moderate success. Basically I thought an evolve theme would go perfectly with Kalonian Hydra. Idea's I've flirted with are adding Elvish Mystic as opposed to either of the one drops, as well as Duskmantle Seer in place of, or in addition to Corpsejack menace.
Liliana of the veil + scavenge creatures. +1 counters on a nighthawk are fun, and liliana rocks. I also like Dreg Mangler alot because of the haste he provides. Also, deathrite shaman is amazing.
Hello everyone. I've been working on a GR Ramp deck, which started out just for fun but seems to win somehow, and I've been trying to improve it. Was curious if anyone had any insights or improvement ideas. I would like to admit some number of Bonfire of the Damned should be in it, but I don't have any atm so that was my first idea for a new addition. Thank you to anyone who takes the time to read or comment!

-8 Put 3 1/1 assassin tokens into play. They have "whenever they deal damage to a player that player loses the game."
I have had alot of fun and moderate success with him in a mono red Geosurge/ramp deck with Fervor. Whipflare, Slagstorm , fervor early and then wurmcoil, inferno titan and balefire late. All are great with haste, and balefire surprises and wipes people out
