A New and Exciting Beginning

The End of an Era
  • posted a message on Dimir Eldrazi for FNM, feedback needed.
This is the current deck I'm using at FNM, It's a blue/black deck and it works pretty well, but I would like to get someone else's opinion on it.
    Here's the decklist.

The deck is called Titan Beats, because the only creatures you
really want to attack with are the Titans themselves, as such, the rest of the deck is designed to stall your opponent until you can cast one of them.
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
*Fathom Feeder should come out turn two, to deter early attackers, and trade for literally anything. Worst case is that they'll waste a kill spell on him.

*Dimensional Infiltrator can also come out turn two, and is there to block flying creatures for the most part, he likely won't trade with anything, so if you're lucky, he can save himself from getting killed.

*Transgress the Mind will get rid of most things before they're even played. Mostly what you're looking for with this spell is removal, or any creatures you can't handle right now.

*Horribly Awry counters anything that would come out before you can block, this deck needs to get the first creature out, especially against aggro.

*Spell Shrivel Should be saved for something like a combo piece, or a win condition, or save it for something you can't deal with right now, such as a flying creature, or a planeswalker.
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Now that I've covered the stalling part of the deck, here's how you win with it.

The deck is simple. Hopefully, turn four is when you begin the endgame. Ideally, Hedron archive comes out on turn four, allowing for a turn five Conduit of Ruin. Once you cast him, you go get whichever Titan you want.
at this point, you'll be able to cast whoever you picked in two turns, meaning you do nothing on turn six, other than casting another Hedron Archive, or Kozilek's Channeler, as to leave mana open for counterspells.

    Now for the Sideboard.
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
*Flaying Tendrils disables most aggro decks, as well as any token based strategies, such as Eldrazi Scions.

*Unnatural Endurance protects Conduit of Ruin from any removal he might see, because if he gets taken out before you cast one of the Titans, then you're pretty vulnerable.

*Sire of Stagnation come in against ramp, or landfall decks, because swinging for 3 on turn two, or casting something huge early-game, really puts a dent in your strategy.

*Oblivion Strike is for the mirror match, as it takes out Ulamog, or any other Eldrazi unconditionally.

*Blinding drone is there for the same reason, if they can resolve a threat, he can keep it locked down until you can get some removal.

*Slip Through Space is once again for token decks, which can just chump-block Ulamog with a Scion.
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The deck works about 80% of the time, and I'm trying to find ways to improve it, so any feedback is welcome.
