Aug 28, 2014jylichan posted a message on Word of Command: A Monthly ChatThank you for this article. It's clear that you guys are in the thick of the roiling storm of ideas in the forums, and you did a stellar job of distilling what someone who has very limited time needs to digest. Keep doing this, please!Posted in: Articles

1. If your group didn't have its in-house bans, what cards would you put in (they have to be legal in 'normal' commander) and what would you replace to make space for them?
2. Would Trophy Mage nudge your artifact choices a little? Maybe trade that Helm of Possession for a Vedalken Shackles?
3. I read in your log that you traded off Mana Drain. I've been thinking about getting one for a while. How crucial is it for the deck?
4. Ever tried Aethersnatch or Spelljack?
Vanish Into Memory also allows Bruna to dodge sweepers. How's testing going?
Also, while it did make me sad that Bruna's dead in the canon, it also feels somewhat right that she got eldrazified, since everyone knows how often it happens in Commander games. I did want a new Bruna card when I learned that we were going back to Innistrad (I got my wish, in more ways than one), but I was also pretty sure Light of Alabaster got it perfectly the first time around.
It's a good thing you brought up "being hostile" against a specific archetype. A wall of bounce and counterspells really does put a damper on our general gameplan.
Totem-Guide Hartebeest is hurt! Does anyone make space for Plea for Guidance?
Now for a SOI spoiler I'm somewhat excited about: [[Epiphany at the Drownyard]]. Card's good enough for a lot of other decks, but it's pretty great for Bruna. A lot like [[Read the Runes]], the downside of chucking a bunch of cards isn't so bad if all the auras in your graveyard might as well be in your hand. Use it early to smoothen clunky draws or mid/late for lots of fuel.
And a SOI spoiler I'm sad about: [[Invocation of Saint Traft]]. Love the flavor on this one, but sadly it doesn't do that much for us.
What new cards have you guys been testing? Have you seen the art depicting a new Bruna? As of this post, the card hasn't been spoiled yet, but I certainly hope it's still UW (as unlikely as that may be).
First of all, I think this is a brilliant idea, and the deck does expect to be able to generate a lot of mana quickly enough to cast the eldrazi in a reasonable amount of time.
Next, I want to show you guys this beauty: Synthetic Destiny
