How do you all feel about playing a Keranos, God of Storms in the SB to add extra grindy-oomph to the midrange matches?
I think it's worse in the Cryptic Command versions, but maybe in the Blue Jund versions? Thoughts?
I feel like Keranos is good in slow metas without any Nahiri decks
does anyone else run ashiok, nightmare weaver in the side? I feel he/ she is really good vs midrange decks like the chord variants, since it allows the opportunity to exile random utility stuff and somewhat good in control mirrors, since it allows me to just straight exile cards, sometimes either milling them out or just removing answers permanently
I used to, but I don't like having cards in my deck that I can't K-Command or Snap back if I flip it with a thought scour. EE is an exception because the cards is very good in a lot of matchups.

Took him out since Jeskai Nahiri was a thing and so did a lot of others. Would need to put him back in and see if a sorcery bolt / draw additional card at upkeep guy is worth bringing back in. Maybe with all the different variations of control coming around it might be worth taking another look at.
I agree. Other than the random less than 1% of Mardu Nahiri, I haven't seen it in a long time. I'm going to be testing it at GP NJ side events, for sure.
I've been playing a list sort of similar to that for a few months, now. List.
I don't like Cryptic in the Jace-heavy lists, and I think that if you're going to be playing IoK, you really should have 3-4 to make sure you have it in the early turns, when it's important.
So, I realize that this thread is mostly dead, but I'm looking to Necro it. I'm taking my build of this deck (https://deckstats.net/decks/3202/585475-grixis-control/en) to a local TCG States, and I made a document about general sideboarding guidelines based on my 75. I wanted some input as to if the 75 looks good, if I'm correct what my opponents are likely to SB, and if what I bring in/take out is correct. All feedback is welcome, even if it's "Don't play this deck, ur *****ty" haha.
I LOVE Dark Intimations, but I am not sure it belongs in the deck; it's really slow, and although there is insane value to be had, I think that it's just a slow Kolaghan's Command in a lot of matchups
I could see the Electrolyze being cut, but my local day-to-day meta has a lot of Lingering Souls and Affinity, and I like the third, instant-speed Forked Bolt effect.
I think Remand is just horrible in Grixis Delver, because it isn't actually a tempo deck. Personally, I want my answers to be more permanent than Remand. And yes, I understand that if you Remand a spell and then kill your opponent, you don't get much more permanent. But my build is currently in that sweet spot for me where I can pivot easily into a Midrange-y playstyle, and Remand doesn't really support that.
Thanks, man! I agree that low CMC is really important in Delver builds- hybrid-izing Delver and Control is just making the deck weaker, especially in an unknown metagame. Post-Eldrazi, it will be especially important, since the return of decks like Burn and Infect mean we have to meaningfully interact in a timely fashion.
Yeah I waffle between 1-2 Pyros from week to week; I've been happier with 1 in general, but 2 is just as good. It really depends on what you're expecting to play against.
You don't want to cut Tas and Angler for anything- they are very important win-cons, especially in the unfavorable Burn matchup. Also, Goblin dark-Dwellers is just too expensive for a deck with 18-19 lands. Keep your spells to 1-3 mana; it'll really help a lot.
Thoughtseize. Far and away, Thoughtseize is the best card against tron. Rip those dense threats out of their hands! As long as you back up the Thoughtseize with some form of pressure, you'll be fine.
Personally, I like Thoughtseize and Fulminator as my anti-Tron package. Getting to three lands really isn't hard when you're being disruptive.

As for the Fatal Push split, I'm currently on 4 Bolts, 3 Terminate and 2 Push. Seems to be working so far. Here's my list, https://deckstats.net/decks/3202/585475-grixis-control/en

I just had an article published on www.modernnexus.com; please give it a read and lend me your thoughts, questions, and comments!
