I like non-basics, especially ones like this with flavor. Granted I don't like the functionality, but I guess it's a nice refresh to the old urza and onslaught cycle lands. Although the duals are nicer.
With this one, and the one last year, at least you will be able to get them at MSRP. Granted, I don't mind playing over MSRP when it's worth it, but it's nice to add to the collection for cheap
I hate knowing all the cards all at once.. I look forward to having a new card revealed or set of cards, and the discussion afterwards. The previews are the only reason I really go online. When there is no spoiler season, I have no reason to go online and nothing to look forward to. So having something revealed too early takes away months of spoilers that I, and many others, look forward to.
3 mana for 3 damage anywhere is always accepted in standard. At common, its accepted everywhere, especially limited. Add to the cycling ability of 6 damage plus a card when you have the mana anyway...like someone else said, reminds me of Urza's Rage. But at common!
The Veldaken guy is a must four-of in Esper. And he's common! He makes your creatures cost 1 less too because they are all artifacts!! (But you knew that!)
"Bro I just got beat by an Esper deck."
"Really?! Me too!"
"Really!? What rares were they running?"
"None!! All commons and Uncommons!!"
"Same here!! Bro, we playing Esper decks from now on!"
"OMZG! ROXERS THA BOXERS YOU'RE ON TO SOMETHING!"
Things like these actually make me want to open a store!!
Only thing is there isn't a big market where I live..
"Hey check this out! I got a foil rare of the set that hasn't even come out yet! It is so worth the $20k I am losing each year to keep the store open! Woo!"
Great in Limited. I mean most people who draft or played sealed end up with three colors anyway, Alara will pretty much force you into it whether you like it or not. In Rav it was a breeze playing three colors in limited. So we get a 5/3 first striker for 5 mana.
Kills a whole list of creatures and lives to tell you about it over decaf coffee and cheerios. And its common.
I guess we will se how things go with this card once it is legal. Gaining around 40 life for 8 mana in a normal duel it not a game winner, but its with the 100 and 250 card decks that things start to get retarded.
You can build a great control deck that is good at keeping creatures at bay, and using this, but a good stompy deck can easily take 60 points of life from you in a couple turns.
I think we found the spell that guy Azarlanandrara (there could be a spelling mistake there) used in Duels of the Planeswalkers right before you duel him. But see that guy thought he was the man with this spell and tried to take over a plane...last time I seen him he was waxing my BMW, kinda like Biff on Back to the Future after he got his junk smacked and grew up...
If you look at the oracle text then it kinda puts the Boss in another light: Its a contruct. It just makes me believe now that this is real, we know what riggers are, are know what constructs are, we just don't know how to "assemble" them.
Amuleto Piedravelada = Stoneveiled Amulet
Epocrásito = Seems like a play on época and parásito... Epoch Parasite... Time Parasite?
Espada de los Mansos = Sword of the Meek
Forjador de Fragmentados = Sliver Forger
Fuerte de acero oscuro = Darksteel Keep (Darksteel Fort)
Gólem atado con almas = Soulbound Golem
Llave de Nubes = Key of Clouds (Cloudkey?)
Monumento de Akroma = Akroma's Monument
Reliquia de la coalición = Coalition Relic
Rueda Moledora = Milling stone
I'd love to stay for the rest... but there's this annoying thing called work
Google translations are pretty much the same....Cloud Key, Grinding Stone..
Cmon guys hurry up!! I wanna see whats in the set!! lol

You know when I first seen this card at 1G, I also misread the EOT part of the +1/+1 thinking that he got a massive amount of counters.
So the card went from uber-rare....to uber-square..
Sometimes you feel like a nut, sometimes you manaplasm...
He can't be killed by big (expensive) creatures - so he's like the ultimate blocker...
He can't die to Sudden Death and anything greater - so it leaves so cards useless to your opponent
Can't be enchanted enchanted with 3 or more cc enchantments
And it is unblockable it your opponent is playing with fatties?
Plus it gains life? And cost 2? If only it had flying....I see this card being awesome, definely for limited!!
Phyrexian Walker

Apparently 'Sierpe' means Snake...which is getting closer..
Devil from Deep Cavern must be Tombstalker, no??
But we do have some interesting names here.
