I played four matches yesterday on MTGO and it seemed like everyone was trying out creature decks after the bans. I ran into Humans twice and also played against Goblins and Spirits.
I played with my old Jeskai Delver deck with a little update. During my matches with the mono-white deck (see above) I learned how powerful Ranger-Captain of Eos is and so I added two copies to my Delver deck while using the following CMC1 creatures as tutor targets: 3x Delver, 2x Giver of Runes, 1x Lavamancer.
It went okay-ish. I ended up 2-2. With so much burn these creature decks should be good match-ups but the synergy in these decks is very strong and they're all very fast and disruptive. I have to tweak my SB to be better prepared for these decks.

    Hi all,
haven't posted for a while because I really got fed up with the degenerated Modern meta full of bullsh*t cards like Oko.
Wizards unfortunately destroyed the whole format for me personally over the course of last year. The power creep made me stray from our righteous Delver path but Saheeli couldn't make me happy either.
I got so annoyed that I actually sold my whole card collection, my precious Jeskai deck and everything else, and bought a new PC for 900 Euros on which I am now enjoying Divinity: Original Sin 2...
However, for now I kept my MTGO collection and I am still playing two decks there mainly:

This mono-white deck is based on a deck I discovered on Death's Shadow's YouTube channel. I thought that if I might start playing with physical cards again a mono-colored deck is much cheaper and since I like cards like Brimaz, Gideon and Elspeth I gave it a try. It's a lot of fun and quite competitive.

Last week I went back to one of my oldest builds though and started playing this Jeskai Delver again

Funny thing is that I am winning quite a lot of matches with this deck. But still, if they don't ban Urza and/or Oko and/or Astrolabe (and Lattice if you ask me) and if the meta doesn't normalize and stays in the current state I might quit playing Modern comletely -_-

@ManDolphin: Interesting list. Did it do well on Saturday?

    Hi guys,
sorry that I haven't posted anything for such a long time. I am still playing the CopyCat deck with SFM.
Lately it didn't perform so well so I tweaked it quite a bit this week:

I got rid of the sword since it almost never got equipped and I got rid of the Colonnade since it almost never got activated. I went up a land though since I added Elspeth, Knight-Errant and Cataclysmic Gearhulk. Both cards have been stellar so far. Elspeth turns SFM and Snappy into serious threats that fly over Eldrazis and Death's Shadows while Cataclysmic Gearhulk resets the board like a sweeper. I can even search up a Batterskull and the Gearhulk with Saheeli's ultimate and then have two creatures in play while my opponent is down to one.

    Hi guys,
I am still playing this deck and I tweaked it a bit this week. It's a bit more midrange-y now.

I got rid of the sword since it almost never got equipped and I got rid of the Colonnade since it almost never got activated (just like spellcheck suggested above). I went up a land though since I added Elspeth, Knight-Errant and Cataclysmic Gearhulk. Both cards have been stellar so far. After a few more matches I replaced the Rams with Wall of Blossoms. The card draw is more important in this deck (see attached picture). The deck is still working very well but looses against Control too often. I need to add Defense Grid to the SB in addition to the Dispels.

    So far, so good Smile

    Hee is my current list

    Had fun against Bogles

    Had fun against Grixis Shadow

    Had fun against Titanshift

But it's pretty hard to win against control decks, even with two Dispels in the SB.

Hi CurdBros, thanks a lot for your input!
I was already thinking about Worship along side Sylvan Caryatid. Definitely a good idea. Might have to find out during playtesting what's best to cut to free some room.
Teyo in SB can easily replace Leylines. Eidolon of Rhetoric is a very good addition to the SB!
One more thing I was thinking about is combat tricks. 2x Aegis of the Heavens could be better than 2x CoCo. The ability to deal 15 dmg by casting Aegis on an unblocked Wall of Denial seems too strong to not include.

    Hi, how aobut this list?

The idea is to have nine copies of the enabler cards (High Alert & Arcades) by putting 3 copies each in the deck and 1 High Alert in the SB which can be grabbed with the 3 Glittering Wishes. Glittering Wish can also find the best beater (Wall of Denial) or specific answers (Gaddock Teeg, Knight of Autumn, Meddling Mage, Detention Sphere). Tetsuko Umezawa makes the team unblockable.

Does this deck look competitive enough for someone who wants to start playing Modern?
(I am playing Jeskai but a friend of mine started to develop an interest for MtG Smile )
Please let me know what you think.

This weekend a list pretty similar to mine did pretty well at the Oko-infested SCG Open Atlanta and placed 25th!
For my personal taste the "big SFM package" with 4x SFM & 3 artifacts is too much in this deck, I still prefer 3x SFM & 2 artifacts.
T3feri as a full 4 of is interesting. I'll go up to 3 copies again. My second copy of FoN should be in the mail this week too Smile

@CurdBros: I don't think that you need to play in the practice room to hone your Magic skill. I am only worried that you could loose a match in a league because of how unintuitive the MTGO UI can be. If your opponent uses Lily's -6 for example, the pile you choose is the one that will get sacrificed and not the one that you'll keep. And there always were problems with Leonin Arbiter as you can read here. MTGO can be tricky sometimes so be carfeful and good luck with your 5-0.

    @CurdBros:
Awesome. So you jumped straight into a league! Good luck Smile
I am still playing Modern even though CopyCat could be pretty good in Pioneer. I'll tinker on a Pioneer version in a few weeks.
I invested in a few cards though that definitely will go up in value until next year.

It'd be great if we could play a match on MTGO sometime.

Yesterday night I won 2-0 against some kind of BW Stoneblade deck and game 2 was so much fun.
    I uploaded game 2 here
Sometimes it can be very entertaining to just ultimate Saheeli and get three artifacts Smile

At FNM on Friday I went 3-1.
    2-0 vs Skred Red
    2-0 vs Blue Moon
    2-1 vs Jund
    1-2 vs U/G Eldrazi
I was very angry at myself because I only lost the third game because of bad sequencing during the last turn.
Anyways, my opponent's deck was very impressive. Once upon a Time is busted, Matter Reshaper into Elder Deep-Fiend combined with TKS and Reality Smasher is back-breaking, Chalice on 1 is very strong too...

Today I bought The Royal Scions in paper and on MTGO to play one copy in my deck. I'll let you know how it goes.

@ManDolphin: The fourth copy often felt useless in my deck during testing. I never want to draw more than two copies since I almost never run more than two targets for them. I almost always leave Batterskull in my deck during sideboarding and only switch Sword of Feast and Famine for Sword of Truth and Justice if needed. A third SFM is basically a 1/2 for two mana and nothing more. Also, if I need to grab another equipment I can flicker a SFM with Felidar Guardian or copy it with Saheeli.
Right now I am thinking about a copy of The Royal Scions in my deck. I never really considered it because I always wanted to put it in an aggressive deck with Geist, but Blue Moon is also using it to filter and in my deck it could help me find the combo pieces and also turn an otherwise lackluster Snappy or SFM into an 3/2 or 4/1 attacker with First Strike and Trample which isn't too bad.

Thanks for your kind words, CurdBros.

I really enjoyed all these different matches. It was funny how I got smashed by RW Norin Sisters just like when I was still playing Delver. I also found it interesting that two of the few decks I lost against were playing 4x Rotting Regisaur. The last match on the list was very enjoyable (for me at least) because I destroyed my opponent with the Sword of Truth and Justice in game 2 Smile

I apologize if my posts sound like I want to convert everyone to join the Saheeli religion. It's just that I never had such crazy good results before and it's still a very enjoyable interactive deck to play and to play against, so I want many players to give it a try.
But I am also always glad when I get advice here. BloodyRabbit_01 was right about the Seasoned Pyros - they are great in this deck. Two copies seem to be just right in a deck that's using the SFM package and the full combo package.
The cards I am trying/thinking about atm are Spellskite and JTMS. Spellskite could be perfect for the SB as it counters artifact hate and protects the combo against removal while JTMS could be the perfect replacement for the last Narset.

    Speaking about the SB...
Here are the results of the first big Modern tournament with ELD cards
It's interesting that two cards can counter all decks in the top 10: Flashfreeze & Shatterstorm
Adding these two to your SB might be a good idea right now.
