Most questionable parts in my opinion were Galvanic Bombardments. When they get to kill creatures - they are amazing. But they can be dead cards forcing you to 2 for 1 yourself (for example, opponent plays Copter, Advocate, Kalitas). I probably will go back to Harnessed Lightning + Immolating Glare as removal. Just not enough Vehicle deck to make bombardment worth (and that was my thought process - make better game 1 vs aggro, which I only met once).
Galvanic Bombardment is meant to work with the Weaver of Lightning Against the amalgam and vehicle decks. instead of the 2 damage, you get 3 total damage(killing most threats) The Weaver also has reach so if your lacking in the removal, you can block their 3/x flyers.
I wondered about playing Chandra as a 2 of, but hard to decide what to remove. For my jeskei deck, i run Thing in the Ice because lets face it, you are running 25+ spells that trigger it. gives good early blocker. After this weeks PPTQ, if my deck does well. i will upload a list and let ya know how i did each round. I am also testing out Dynavolt Tower Buddy is running a form of the Grixis control deck. he put in the Tower and is doing a lot better at his LGS. I will be testing it as well. As well as a Metallurgic Summonings in the sideboard for control match ups.
amalgam decks I was having issues with, so i moved away from the control version and went Jeskei Dynavolt tower deck. Instead of the white cards main board as blessed alliance, stasis snare and immolating glare. I run 4 galvanic bombardments main board, side board i have weaver of lightnings. also running 3 of dynavolt towers.
In play testing, worked extremely well. I have a PPTQ I am doing this weekend, going to test this new list at FNM friday and see if i need to alter. I know most of the pro players at my LGS are taking B/G delirium decks with emerakul. so i need to make sure to bring cards to counter that deck(Stasis snare in side board) as well as summary dismissals.
I am also interested in seeing your list MR 8-1 at GP Warsaw.
Is the deck list I took to game day after seeing what everyone was playing for FNM. The deck performed amazing, I hit the cards I needed to stop every deck right away. Going into these Gameday event, I was nervous about playing the graveyard decks, after sideboard i felt so much better VS these decks. Every graveyard deck i played, they won game 1, then i followed up with winning the following 2 games. It seemed most of my LGS pro players all brought B/G delirium decks and did really well.
Conclusion for this weekend:
I am going to keep this deck around, however I am going to swap to my Jund or B/G delirium lists.
So the graveyard recursion decks are killing me. Getting a Gideon down can help do some chump blocking, but it seems the only thing that can beat this deck is more creatures. Removal (even exile abilities) seem worthless.
I had issues with these decks as well. Summary Dismissal is your BEST friend in this case. Negate and counter all their draw spells. I went 50/50 against these types of decks.
This deck is a W/U shell with splash for red. I thought about removing the red and including B instead. Transgress the mind and Lost Legacy are amazing pickups. I also like you get Anguished Unmaking as another good Exile effect. Could also sideboard Kalitas VS graveyard decks.
I will be trying an Esper deck at game day #2(that or modify my Jeskei deck first)
I have been testing running two of the gearhulks instead of one Unlicensed Disintegration and one Essence Extraction for two Combustible Gearhulk for card draw late game. I tried running Live Fast it gives energy to allow you to Harnessed Lightning for more damage, but VS all the aggro decks. Hard to lose 2 life to draw early game. The 6/6 body is also nice late game, avoids a lot of removal spells.
Radiant Flames Might also be a card to run mainboard. discuss
This is the list I am going to run for the Game Day Weekend events. I altered the Pro Tour deck to fit what I will be facing at my LGS, i may alter it a little bit once I see what is played Friday at FNM. I also have a good Jund list that has been doing very well to.
When I was watching the pro tour, i honestly thought a lot of the games were lost because of Thing in the Ice and the Jeskei deck runs more instant/sorcery. I thought it was an auto include
Don't get me wrong, I understand that exile is important against the graveyard decks, against gearhulk, etc. But is it any worth making Ceremonious Rejection worse against you?
Buddy @ LGS also had this idea. I prefer the the exile over getting a 3/3 creature land. so much 3 damage removal and you will be down a land(personally)
For this weekend gameday, i am going to run a version of the Jeskie control list, Without Avacyns and include Thing in the Ice, 1 Nahiri.4
meta doesnt feel grindy enough to be running 3 mana nissa, she'll just drop a plant and either get ran over or just get completely ignored by copter/cruiser.
I felt the same way, which is why i include my own Smuggler's Copters. Takes longer to turn the copters on, but Nissa would protect my life for 2 turns while i produce some combo pieces. Been working fine at my LGS, try it out see what you guys think and give some feedback.
I will be doing some play testing with some of my local "Pro tournament players" to gauge if the deck is actually good against multiple tier 1 deck lists.

Post your deck list with sideboard, then walk us through what you sideboard out and in VS an Amalgam deck. Maybe we can help out
