    Yes I see that with ETI but with Twincast it's ruling say that the sorcery spell I copy doesn't have to target anything.then I get to choose a target for TC, myself or someone else.it doesn't automatically make me the target from TC does it.my understanding is that it's [card]Twincaster[\card] that is allowing me to basically create a target,the choice no just being myself due to TC second sentence.because if I copy ETI if an opponent cast it using TC I can choose myself as the new target,right??? Say my opponent cast some thing that said draw two cards,then I cast TC,that doesn't mean they get to draw 2 again does it,because I'm choosing myself as the new target even though the card didn't say target player gets to draw two cards.This is where the confusion comes in.lol.so very sorry and again I REALLY appreciate the help with this and your patience in helping me understand.

    A since I can in [card]Twincast[\card] ruling target a spell that does NOT target and then I get to choose a new target,being opponent instead of myself being the one targeted by [card]Twincast[\card] itself.

    But in that case for that card ruling it states that the sorcery I copy does not have to have a target and it also says I can choose a new target.So now I'm even more confused why I can't looking at [card]Twincast[card].

    Cause I can make it work as long as I can dump my opponents library as well as my own because I can put mine back in before the end of my turn.well that WAS my theory.lol

    Well that doesn't work then.lol.thanks for that quick response.Any way I can use something to basically donate that card to my opponent?whole deck idea was based around that idea and being able to reuse it on several opponents out of my graveyard.didnt realize the "target" part worked that way.thought it was target card I targeted and opponent I am targeting.

    Hi,thanks in advance.So if I drop card[Enter the infinite] and then cast card[Deflection] on my opponent targeting them,they take there turn,passes to me,i make them draw a card,they lose correct?since they have no cards left.i don't have to pass turn and wait until there draw step do I?Because if I'm running a blue spell deck with ONLY instants and sorceries then they can only draw a land from me.So in a multiplayer I can kill them off before my other opponent(2) can benefit from playing a card in opponent(1) hand during there turn before it comes back to my turn.make sense?sorry if it doesnt.very new and not very tech savy.

    So I don't want to give away all the tricks but it's possible if the cards works for you to pull what you need turn one,the four card[energy tap] can be used all the same turn to fuel the artys needed to continue the draw until u can use your graveyard,until you can u can use flashback to help reuse anything,and with card[tainted strike] psycatog only has to hit for ten,the flashback card[artful dodge] will give you the win.The biggest problem I have is getting haste turn one.Im so close to getting this to work zero turn on a constant basis.it used to be my blue mill deck with zero creatures but it had to hit the right cards or it would tank.

    Drop it turn 2,turn 3 morph it for one blue and drop energy tap,BAM,8 mana...and ur running blue...so that and some artys you just won,and it's still turn 3.for less than literally two dollars!!!splash in black,add a psycatog or four and maybe some tome scours and some mind sculpts...and we are still under three bucks...now you add four dark rituals and a few sigs or chromatic spheres for any color needed.Top it off with a full four o traumatize and mill yourself to nothing to feed the beast,the psycatog.artful dodge is great for one mana for the unblockable win.and your running blue black and it's still turn 3...and everyone scoffs at (his card!so they NEVER try to stop you until they cant.

    So I was trying to find mana on a budget for some young guys in my store that are new to magic.after over a decade the cards got pulled out and the dust came off and I found one of my personal favorite decks,well three decks,but all use the same glorious card,the blue beauty itself,its the SCORNFUL EGOTIST...lol,yes I am serious.
    This beauty is awesome,turn two you can drop it,turn three your morphing it out and energy tap,bam eight mana...what's that?you didn't see that we'll guess what, energy tap again,dont have one?your running blue and you just got eight mana,go get it,or two...depends on what's in your hand,then u have how much mana and we are on what turn???and the best thing is NOBODY sees it coming,they see the almighty SCORNFUL EGOTIST and scoff at your junk...but when psycatog drops down and you just finished milling yourself to nothingness...haste,fear,unblockable, it doesn't matter,you will have something to walk ALL over your opponent,come on,its blue black,what isn't there that isn't dirt cheap!So the deck is about three bucks worth of cards no matter what the color when using the SCORNFUL EGOTIST.With splashes of white it works great,with black it's super fun,all blue is,well,just plain mean,and red is when you just want to smell your opponents burnt flesh and green,well,thats a whole other can of beatdown action.But if you want to really mess someone up go with the good old artifacts,its versatility is endless when the egotist is in it.I know I didn't provide any decklists but you have the only thing you need,energy taps(or the like) and SCORNFUL EGOTIST. So thank you magic,because of one of your "worst" cards in history,people,young teens mainly,can buy these super mana generators for pennies.And if you think I'm joking then slap together ANY blue deck using those and see what you get.For how often you can make it happen for you so quickly how can you not love...The SCORNFUL EGOTIST!!!!

    Hello,ive been here once before but I never saw this until now so I thought I'd introduce myself.i recently opened up a "geek" store in a very very very small town and I've had to dust off some old cards and found my favorite lovely beauties in blue...the SCORNFUL EGOTIST!!! Go ahead and laugh,and when I have sixteen mana turn three cause of this and I'm gonna kill you then see what you have to say...lol.I FREAKIN LOVE THIS GAME!!
    So anyways my deck,its cost is about three bucks minus the lands,and I have so many new players to magic that hav very few funds so these cheap decks that I help them build on a budget that they wreak havoc with give me so much satisfaction.One geek at a time magic is keeping kids off the street,it provides locations where safe,drug and alcohol free atmospheres can be found with some of the most exciting entertainment!...magic!!!
    So this is me,very rusty,dont have a clue about recent magic happenings,but I'm back,and I'm in hard this time so thanks for having me and I'm looking forward to chatting magic with everyone here.

    Oh and btw Azadan u have it right.The size of my store and what your friend does,now that's triple the population and I don't have 1k t toss a month to get people in the door every Fri night.And I don't get pre releases.I've tried several times and since I pay up front for product iv had to have the money freed up from other stock only to find that I didn't get one single item!!!Not one!No boosters,no intros,fatpacks or even promos,eight months I've been open and never seen a promo item yet,no idea what they are.I still can't figure out how to get ad posters for magic to put on my walls and window rather than the signs we had to make with felts.I cant even purchase them anywhere so...

    Thanks for all your input,and it's not that they want to produce more sales,its that for them,in the higher density areas the games are bigger and the events are huge.Now small towns and other rural communities should be in a completely diffrent program.We will never meet the standards to play in those kind of tournaments but a small regional one with a few hundred people is a dream for some around here.So why do I use the wpn network that's constantly being bombarded with sign in and results on fnm???why wouldn't they make a basic system for us simpler folk to use and free up some room for there big stuff.Its easy,a small store or start up like mine uses a basic wpn system and reports to it on fnm while the bigger stores get the advanced versions.

    Hello,
    First off let me say that I am old school,point and click is the best I can do on a computer so the wpn network is a scary place to me trying to figure out how to report on events.Now I have a new store,8 months open now,and I have just received an email sayin the requirements are going up and I will more than likely lose even gateway status and it's scary.Im overwhelmed and all the support staff said was that it wasn't there problem...
    Well I'm upset about it.There are 3500 people in my town, four other towns within a half hour drive,and the ONLY source of magic cards for 300kms!This town hasn't seen a store that sells magic for ten plus years and now that I finally opened one the requirements are going up.Do they not see that in a small town like this that what they set as a minimum is crazy hard for me as a start up store.
    Sorry for the long post but I'm looking for answers and I'm tired of feeling like my little store doesn't matter.
