Yeah. I just hope that people are here to give feedback at that point. I was looking for initial input while working on adjustments to save me time. Thanks for the Grave Troll reminder. I'll have to try him out. Hopefully the thread repopulates soon, so this dialogue here can gain a little breadth.
So I felt like I needed to try Eldritch Evolution out as an extra Devourer Win-con. My meta also runs a lot of countermagic that is all too aware of what this deck does, hence the inclusion of Boseiju and an extra way to get it i hand (Sylvan Scrying). I also have Song of the Dryads for a Prossh, Skyraider of Kher player who always has difficulty removing the enchantment from his commander, normally taking him out of the game. I have a tad more ramp with Skyshroud Claim and wonder if I should have more. I also wonder if I should be including more creatires and I took out Massacre Wurm and Woodfall Primus when I added in SyPri and Primetime. But maybe I should get them both back in there in lieu of something else?
Thanks. So far, that is what I'm doing. I should post a decklist here, but I'll need to figure out how to do so. I've made changes and basically wonder if more should be made since the early game win is basically gone. Purely midrange to late game now. Anyway, I'm get a list posted soon. Should have done so from the get go.
Well, I actually like the banlist league as a concept as it encourages brewing, so I'm looking at how to tweak to compensate. The league has helped get more people back who were tired of losing on turn three. Unfortunately it seems like this thread is dead now. Not sure where everybody went. I was hoping for some help.
My store is doing a weekly vote to add cards to the current banlist. Some cards were unbanned to start this weekly banlist league (including prime time and sylvan primoridal), and this past week was the first vote to add a card to the banlist. It was Ooze. So for me, it is now banned. So my question isn't hypothetical, just limited in area.
I think the Beastmaster Ascension is mostly to help boost Atraxa to give lethal commander and/or infect damage where only she can attack/block (while also protecting planeswalkers) via Dueling Grounds. But I can see Beastmaster Ascension drawing a lot of attention.
I get the purpose of those cards, it's just that ascension says "cast and attack with a lot of creatures" but the grounds say "only one creature at a time." If you want to give your commander +5/+5 (a noble cause indeed) I think Stoneforge Mystic as a second copy of Umezawa's Jitte is the better way to go.
Okay, Okay, I see what you're saying. Maybe he's going enchantments since Zur can tutor them. Good point for sure. Gonna have to try both out and see what sticks.

Oh, if Sun Titan ends up worthy of inclusion (I think it is as late-game he is great), perhaps just include Deepglow Skate? I am including it anyway. It is a bonkers card, even considering it's cost of 5. Seems an auto-include, and definitely fixes the chin in a perfect manner.
This is a really interesting deck! I'm thinking of building it myself and tinkering here or there as need dictates. I am wondering how the deck survives without more targeted removal? Does it just ignore the board until it can get a lock down?
If Tasigur is the biggest problem, I'd be replacing Slaughterpact with a different removal that can hit Tasigur or a utility piece. I'm surprised you cut Terastodon. Seems like the best Natural Order target. I'm one of those people who's perfectly fine with land destruction and if I can do it turn two or three with a dork to set my most difficult opponents back, I will.
Does making getting Void Winnower on the field your highest priority not work? Slow everyone down and beat the threat every turn? What's your deck list?
I certainly agree it would be more dangerous in a Gitrog deck, but with how many creature tutor, ramp spells, and spells like Crop Rotation, it is easy enough to get the combo on the field. I could add Hexmage to add another option and that wouldn't even be a terrible add on it's own since it can sac to Meren and kill Planeswalkers. And easy to get back on the field. Stage and Depths are also a double Titania, Protector of Argoth trigger if she's on the field.
Hopefully someone else can test it and give feedback. My opponents are good but they are too few to see how it fairs against other decks types.
I don't know. It seems you are just adding one dead land to the deck and keeping an eye peeled for Wasteland. I don't think it is enough to have to change the deck a ton. Seems just ramp to tutor/hard cast Prime Time and plop a giant indestructible down. With Voyaging Satyr and Deserted Temple in the deck (both already useful imo), it can make a same turn transformation possible. I guess I don't see it as something to build around so much as a cheap way to put major pressure on your opponent. I'll be getting Lore soon and I'll try it out and leave feedback. I could be dead wrong on this!
