Hey guys! Just for introduction, I have never played a game of commander in my life, but I decided to build a deck, so I can play as soon as my playgroup starts playing. That said, I am a complete noob in building EDH decks, since I only played legacy.
BUT, I read quite a bit the last month and came up with this list.
I have seen the B/R lists but was wondering how a Mono B version would look like for you guys. My playgroup usually consists of 4-6 players and we mostly play FFA.
Which leaves us with 8 free slots. Are 4x Throne of the God-Pharaoh too much? I feel like I should add tutors and/or huge loads of removal. Any ideas on this one are appreciated!
burgoning and selvala's stampede with a bunch of bounce lands and badass creatures can drop 4 or 5 horrible monsters especially if you can trade secrets with someone to fill you hand. One of the guys in our play group built this deck and 4 or 5 of us often have trouble beating it even when we know it's coming.
This also seems very nice would appreciate a list on this one!
I sense a Waste Not deck being posted in 3...2...1..
That's what i thought too. The problem with Waste Not is that it's just way too broken and doesn't let anyone play a proper game of Magic. There must be other, at least a little fun, options
I need help on building a degenerate FFA deck for my dear friends. Until now I always tried to be as friendly and fair as possibly when building my decks, but as our playgroup grows, people come up with more and more broken stuff (Sol Ring, Umezawa's Jitte, Skullclamp and so on). I always used to keep all of my decks legacy legal, independent of my meta, but with this deck I'd definately change that. My meta is actually pretty mixed and we usually play 4 or 5 player FFAs. I see a lot of creature based decks, fast aggro decks, and also a good amount of control/defensive decks. Since I'm the threat in a majority of our games I struggle with keeping up when everybody turns their creatures my way, so I'd probably need something sneaky but still oppressive.
I'm open for all kinds of suggestions. I just need to punish them excessively! What is your experience regarding "unbeatable" ffa decks? How often do they still lose and to what? I have a lot of really strong legacy decks, but if people are jamming Sol Rings and Skullclamps these decks suddenly feel marginal at best. So I need something even stronger thank you guys for any kind of help!
I have to add that I'd rather not spend *****loads of money on some Vintage jewels, thanks
Hello guys! A friend of mine finally got into MTG and wants a second deck for our casual table. He has no clue at all so I suggested GW Tokens, because it's kind of powerful and also budget friendly. I already own some playsets, that's why we decided to build this. I would be very thankful if you guys could help me and my mate complete this list!
There are obviously still 4 slots open and I really can't think of anything more budget friendly but also powerful. Hour of Reckoning maybe? Parallel Lives?
Looking forward to any kind of response!
The deck looks really sweet. If he would rather have a Blue splash then I'd just swap the Exsangs and Minds for some draw and probably 2-4 counterspells? What do you think?
first of all, thanks for your response and advice. he would love to play a repercussion, comet storm and mana geyser deck, that's the most important thing. probably a deck completely without creatures ? dictate of the twin gods seems really sweet too.
Hello guys! I finally got a friend of mine into mtg. he has never played the game until about 2 weeks ago. he played online with another friend of mine and had a burn deck, which he really liked. now he has moved to my town and wants to start playing with our playgroup. now, my problem is that I really don't have a clue of building a r/x burn deck, budget preferred. if you could provide me with some ideas I would be very thankful. meta is 5-7 players ffa.
edit: I considered splashing black for Blightning effects and card draw, but have no clue how to approach it. Blue would also be a welcome splash color, but the same here
Vesuva is out of my budget unfortunately, but Thespian's Stage looks very good aswell. Will get 4 of these. Another idea would be to get some Ravnica Bouncelands, like Dimir Aqueduct if that makes sense. That makes 16 then, what else to look out for?
I'm trying to build a colorless artifact based ramp deck and need your help. I have those Posts lying around and finally want to put them to the test. But that's basically the only cards which I own. Also 4x Expedition Map. I just want to make sure that I will be ordering the best and most needed cards. What other lands should I include? What (hopefully budget-friendly) creatures and other threats should I run? Thanks for any kind of help!

I want to build a Mono B Burn Deck featuring these cards:

4x Pulse Tracker
4x Mardu Shadowspear

Greets
These decks seem very mighty, but are very far away from my budget. I have stuff like Steel Hellkite, Darksteel Colossus, Platinum Emperion and Platinum Angel of which I think I could include them.
Sorry for being a total noob
