Prices in standard are kind of ridiculous, especially since it constantly seems to change with whatever deck is popular right now. JTMS, we can all agree, is an example of price-gouging on a piece of cardboard just because it has strong abilities. I have reason to doubt that cardboard and ink is really worth $80. The only reason for these exorbitant costs is because sellers are just looking to make a quick buck.

As long as there is nothing interesting in your thread than your list, you shouldn't be surprised about the lack of responses. Could you upload your list to deckstats.net, so that I can at least run it through an analyzer?

but i think the saddest part of this whole situation is:

shaking hands is pretty optional imo. it's really a case of being polite or well mannered. a solid "good game" "thanks for the game" etc is plenty fine.
a small array of control-ish stuff that can help in the matchup agaisnt a few things. swerve can be just fun to keep something alive or to really screw over a poly deck. its not exactly creature heavy, the deck i run, and im not sure if it could be considered a blue splash or RU deck.but im sure if its not a splash that some re-ordering can be had. also a blue pslash allows use of the lands that some control decks have spreaded and you have access to a mind sculptor post board. there alot of ways that the blue splash can be beneficial, its mainly up to how you play to determine what cards can be implemented. and it does have some answers to some pesky cards in the order or a firewalker to name one off the top of my head. the use of a bounce spell like unsummon can be used to get rid of the firewalker or to keep a creature that has to be sacced at end of turn back in your hand for use the next turn. or to unearth a hellspark and then at the end of turn bounce it instead of exile it. there are many ways to run it and i do apologize for not finding that thread that you mentioned. i searched this one and couldnt find one except an old one that focused on one blue cards interaction with kiln. and i thought that this was a bit different. any other ideas? would be glad to post the deck stat that i have to further the thoughts on this style.

if cost is an issue, you could literally build a pretty cheap deck with just the liege as the expensive card. use all small cheap fast white creatures, there's lots throughout the history of the game with protection red and or black. reveillark is your late game ownage. even if you discarded hard early.
white has tons of great removal.
these are listed from cheapest $ to most expensive
i like prison term for your deck because you can just put it on whatever you need and once you have a protection black guy to chump nyx you can put it on a hypnotic specter or vice versa

what you need to decide is the type of budget you have to screw with him.
also, if you can post up what deck you're currently using if you want to improve that or to start with something new if you have a deck that has a really bad match up vs red/black discard
