I am also playing 4x vedalken shackles. I have a pretty small creature base, and all but 3 are wizards, so I think I would get a lot of use out of riptide laboratory -- but colonnade has won me so many games.
So, my question is, in your experience, how damaging are non-islands?
4x Fact or fiction
4x Gifts Ungiven
I usually play this deck in FFA multiplayer and let group discussions dictate these decisions.
To add to some tough splits, I've added the following little minicombos:
(these three make a pretty strong gifts tutor, running two life/loams)
2x Life from the Loam
1x Academy Ruins
1x Oblivion Stone
1x Genesis
1x Spore Frog
//The game winning combo
4x Eternal Witness
1x Evacuation
1x Triskelion
And general utility cards:
1x Vexing Sphinx //for Genesis, also, 4/4 flier for 3
2x Nostalgic Dreams //for general awesome
I've filled up the rest of the deck with stuff like a couple solemn simulacrum and four birds of paradise with a few random 1-offs like masked admirers and loaming shaman.
I'm looking for good suggestions for the toolbox.
1x Celestial Colonnade
4x Flooded Strand
4x Hallowed Fountain
12x Island
4x Tundra
2x Jace, the Mind Sculptor
Instants:
4x Cryptic Command
4x Remand
2x Sphinx's Revelation
4x Swords to Plowshares
4x Supreme Verdict
Creatures:
3x Geist of Saint Traft
4x Snapcaster Mage
2x Vendilion Clique
2x Venser, Shaper Savant
4x Vedalken Shackles
4x tundra
4x hallowed fountain
4x flooded strand
1x celestial colonnade
12x island

The wizards in the deck:
2x venser, shaper savant
2x vendilion clique
4x snapcaster mage
Nonwizards:
3x geist of saint traft
Outside of shackles and those guys, everything else is an instant or sorcery.
Thanks!
