@Rudyard: It's a top-down design. In many scenarios (a lot actually) it's a dead card. At the moment you're able to get something extra from the card (the cantrip), you'll be losing life in a situation in wich you were already losing by table position, wich isn't exactly good (that's why the cantrip is optional). The best the card works, the best your opponent's board position is.

Very nice style Bristol. I would work on fundamentals, some of the proportions on the characters are a little wonky.
If you like his style, you're supposed to understand those unreal details are part of it (perhaps you could revisite his old portfolio).
I would like to contribute with a suggestion for your work too: I would try to work text boxes in a more polite way. Such things usually feel horribly distracting from the rest of the piece.

I always wanted to make a sun bleached playset of Krosan Grip (bleaching the disintegration side), but wasn't able to find the cards (neither the climate helps around here). If I get to do it, I'll share (it would be cool if somebody else that's interested on this idea does it and shares too). I bet it would look really cool!
I have no good windows in my apartment and didn't want to put them in my car... Anyway, I tried it out. Left them up for a year (366 days actually). Angel's Grace is a weird one cause the only thing that faded was the rarity symbol (looks like an uncommon now).
There were some people asking about how to do it, as I said in my first post I am no expert but this may be helpful. Figure out where you are going to put them first off. I would suggest an east/west facing window (never tried putting them outside, I get way too much rain/dew/moisture). Put the card in a toploader and tape the top shut so that no moisture can get in. If you are putting it in a window with metallic (or reflective blinds) then put it in an opaque sleeve so that the back does not get faded. Have patience, for me it takes about 8 months (longer in this new apartment) and obviously the longer you leave it up the more faded it can get.
Great to see someone did what I wanted to do (and never did). It looks great and, as MazeTemporal pointed out, I bet that the contrast in both sides would have increased by extending the exposure. Great job, dude! (I'll use that image for an article I'm writting for a friend's page -and u'll be credited, of course-)
The guy who's printing them and selling them is here in Argentina. I've comfronted him many times publicly and in private, and he does not seem to care about IP or the fact that he's doing something illegal against artists and WotC. He also sells an entire cube made of counterfeits, wich is entirely made with art pieces took from here, among other places. I think it is important to reunite the affected artists to put pressure on this person to stop doing what he's doing. I've tried for a long time without any luck.
