This format has a kind of a war-game vibe to it.
You win by either having all the territory or destroying every opponents capital.
Setting Up the Game:
Everyone brings an EDH/Commander deck.
This format requires a relatively large table.
If the group is large enough, you may make teams, unions and/or alliances.
Every player starts with a 2x2 tile territory.
They choose a tile that will be their capital.
Behind every tile the player control they have a stronghold, this is where they play their lands, place their library and all the standard stuff.
Playing the Game:
Each players capital starts with 30 life, creatures can only attack a players capital if they are in a tile that borders the capital.
Every tile has 10 "life", you have to burn it, attack it and all this stuff until it has 0 "life".
The tiles heals every end step.
Then the player who took the last life from the tile gains control of it.
Every creature must be casted in the stronghold first.
They can't move through tiles the turn they come out because of summoning sickness, but creatures with haste can.
Creatures can only move 1 tile a turn, unless they have Haste or are 1/1 creatures, then they can move 2 tiles a turn. They are called Scouts.
Creatures can only move through the tiles their commander has been inside.
Creatures can only attack the tile they're in, or the tiles around it.
Every noncreature spell you cast that targets or is going to be placed a tile or stronghold or anything inside, the caster has to have at least 1 creature that borders or is inside that tile.
Tiles can also be target of burn spells like "Lava Axe", since they are counted as players.
