I don't think I have enough artifacts to make this an inclusion in my Cube. That said, I feel like most Powered Cubes should try and find room for it. Because signet.dec would really enjoy a creature that finds more signets or rocks.
This is a card I'm excited to play in Commander, less so to put in my Cube. I'd have to do some major finagling to make it worthwhile, so it's an easy pass.
I don't see where people are getting Dovin being UR. Everything I read hints more towards being UW than UR. He is seeking perfection (U) while maintaining the current order (W). I don't see any Red in him at all.
And yes I know his art has some red hints to it, but that doesn't sell me on him being a Red 'walker.
As far as manabases ya'll are forgetting the Tranquil Cove Cycle and Meandering River Cycles they just completed. They have plenty of ETB-Tapped Dual lands at Common/Uncommon level to make the mana work. And that's discounting effects like Wayfarer's Bauble, Expedition Map, and Land-Cyclers such as Traumatic Visions.
Remember that the characters in MtG age at a very slow rate due to the glacial pace that the story moves at. That said, a time-jump has been a popular technique in other media, so I'm sure that Wizards Creative has at least considered it.
Ultimately, I think they won't do that. It's quite jarring if you left the game now and, say, 4-5 years down the road all the characters you knew are suddenly in their 40's-50's. The main examples of the technique I can think of are manga/anime where they age the main character from 10-13 to 15-18, so such a radical jump like you suggest is unrealistic. Even so, I don't see the benefit of doing such a jump.
So I'm brewing up a campaign using Zendikar, and a friend and I are brainstorming a Lithomancer class from scratch. To get a feel for what the class should do I wanted to ask you all, "What would you expect to be able to do as a Lithomancer? At a low level? At a high level?"
This makes it more clear what happened and proves my point from the previous thread that Nahiri was in a good mood when she went to Innistrad. It was Sorin's dour mood and unwillingness to help that pushed her to anger.
I can see why a White-aligned planeswalker would get upset at someone they considered a friend and a mentor saying essentially "You mean nothing to me" (paraphrasing). All Nahiri wants is for Sorin to go back to Zendikar and make sure the bonds are secure. Nahiri, Sorin, and Ugin all made a promise, and breaking promises is something a White character would have problems with. Maybe Nahiri overreacted a bit, but her anger is justified in her mind.
Also the small bit there on Avacyn's creation was neat. This also confirms that Avacyn has at least met Sorin at one point, even if we don't know the extent to which Avacyn knows Sorin/knows of Sorin.
isn't that the theme of every set? I just assume that someone says that about every card spoiled

From a flavor perspective, I'm not sure how one would recruit a wall though.
Recruiter: "Hey, you're a great wall, one of the best. Would you want to fight in an upcoming battle with me?"
Wall:"..."
It doesn't say anything because it's a WALL!
Straight from SCG spoiled by Gerry T, this card HAS to be good for Cube, right?
Unfortunately that would be functional errata and Wizards doesn't do functional errata anymore.
