also the only walker that can currently fill her role is Koth and he is heavily entwined with the mirrodin story and MIA at the moment
Not at all. Ob-Nixilis knows basically all of nahiri's lithomancy & ugin's binding magic used in the hedrons. "I studied the hedrons for centuries. I know their magic better than anyone save the one who made them." [He's also working to regain his spark which will somehow result in the destruction of zendikar (or maybe the destruction will result in regaining his spark)]

Ill take a few broken sleeves a month over the terrible clumpiness dragonsheilds.

I run 23 edh decks, that see an average of 5-8 games each per week. I lose 1-2 a week to breakage, in over 100 games. In dragonsheilds (which always come warped in my area, so i have to put lands in em and the cram em in a box for a few weeks to flatten em) i consistently have clumping

Nope. Damage, enchant, equip, block (pro green attacker=no green blockers), target = the things protection is good against.

Compleation doesnt require a thought directed process. It need a host and a carrier. Which gore vassal is. Moot point as the spawn need the titans presence to live.

Maybe bolas has plans to "eat" them like he did the mana in the maelstrom. Doesnt seem very likely, as his forte is grixis, but it seems possible the unbound mana of the eldrazi could be used by someone of sufficient knowlege (maybe ugin was working on a similar plan, hence why bolas laid him out) Bolas doesnt like direct confrontation. Maybe dealing with ugin before ugin could do the same was bolas' reason for such an appearance. He was the only one to have a plan if the rift issue spread. Seems like an entity that existed before time might satify a 25,000 year old thirst for power.

He plans from the shadows and prefers to let his underlings march his plans forward, then take the brunt if they fail.

i was under the impression that the spawn arrived first, to begin preliminary digestion (by way of dirupting natural mana flows & the environment itself to be more hospitable to the titans) eventually they will come to a world the phyrexians have taken, and would likely be compleated. They now compleated spawn have a new purpose, prepare worlds for phyrexian invasion/be the infection that spreads their reach itself. An unnatural body is one of the nescessary prereq's for planar travel, seems like the eldrazi spawn might fit that and still be corruptable by the oil.

Though, the eldrazi are one of my least well known areas of lore so i may be way off.

I have to wonder if theyre still linked. The hedron sarkhan used to cocoon ugin came from zendikar. Where ob-nixilis is working towards getting his spark (which will result in zendikars destruction. And also possibly the prison on the eldrazi/ugin simultaneously...)

I just hope they dont do the mortal kombat/street fighter treatment of "cram every irrelevant character in and make them do the exact same things as the game, or it will never work." Resident evil (the first movie) is a great example of a game to movie conversion that worked really well

The phyrexians (jin-gitaxias specifically) are searching like crazy for a way to move off new phyrexia. Fortunately they have all of urza's research (which was brought there by karn) and studied by venser. So they're probably pretty close to coming back.

Lol, mirrodin old... Anything with color coded rarity is not old. I remember when the 4 of rule was "going to kill magic."

In raw power level the eldrazi seem to be biggest threat on the block.

For intelligent manipulation, Bolas is by far. Also no-one has survived the effects of Bolas' mind touch. *Ugin managed to fire off a breath weapon afterwards, but the fight is already over. And Bolas hasn't even done much*. He conspired to set the eldrazi free, so hes either desperate to create a distraction for his enemies, or totally unafraid of them (*the eldrazi*).
Bolas physically spanks ugin, who calls for help from the lesser dragons of tarkir. Bolas *proxy casts insurrection through Yasova*, then laughs while Ugin struggles to keep up. The exact details of the ensuing beat down are lost in sarkhans fall, but the worst we see Bolas doing is (Sarkhan saw the effort in Bolas's face).
So a walker powerful enough to design the prison for the eldrazi gave Bolas a sweaty forehead, for a moment.

The theros gods have no power outside of theros, so dont make a very good comparative metric.

In a wrath heavy meta hes good in a heavy creature build that doesnt care about EtB (37 seems sufficient, but without a list...)

havent hit it in edh (my pod decks are hated out early), but my standard runs courser of kruphix to phenomenal effect with it.

Um... no. Ugin does not have lithomancy. As evidenced by the UR http://magic.wizards.com/en/articles/archive/ur/lithomancer-2014-10-29

"The two of you possess skills I lack," said Ugin. "And the job is too big for one Planeswalker alone, no matter how powerful."...He had worked out a way to trap the Eldrazi using a carefully shaped network of leylines and magical nodes. What he needed was someone to build it...She filled the skies of Zendikar with stone, and Ugin etched them with draconic runes that held them in the air and would bind the Eldrazi to this place.

    From ob-nixilis:
"In that moment, I could smell the Multiverse again. My spark is within reach. I know what I must do. And that the only cost to regaining my spark will be the complete obliteration of the world I hate most among them all?"

How can we be sure Ugin didnt work to set him on this path? Alternatively, he is known for watching and waiting. Why would he allow zendikar (where the eldrazi are trapped, the plane more cental to his plan than any other) to be destroyed?

Ugin, sorin, and ob-nixilis (having mastered nahiri's lithomancy) will be the three to relock them. (And ob still gets his revenge on zendikar, by allowing them to remain awake, but locked on zendikar)

we have no reason to see nahiri again. Shes very dead (sorin & ugin are from long living races, while we dont know kor lifespan its fairly safe to assume he'd know if they lived that long). Ob-nixilis knows her magic, is on Zendikar (which he would love to make suffer for Nahiri's stroke against him) and would likely be easy to convince to help unless it interferes with getting his spark back (which may factor into the trapping them again plan).

It would make zero sense for ob nixilis to fill this role without introducing nahiri, and their interactions. (Where would a veil cursed black walker get lithomancy? Oh he became a demon, found zendikar, got his spark ripped by nahiri, then spent the proceeding centuries trying to learn her magic to undo her lithomancy? That makes sense.

Ob nixilis doesnt explicitly state she is dead but he does say "That was centuries ago. I have never seen her again. But I see her face in my mind as if it were yesterday. Some of the vampires here live that long, but they have the good sense to either go mad or forget." (He also mentions largely avoiding the kor because they remind him of Nahiri, so maybe not)

Sorin came to Tarkir about the same time as Sarkhan. (sky-khan, so rad) Sorin couldnt sense Ugin because of the crysallis (cant have bolas realzing he didnt finish the job) so the three will travel to zendikar, fail to find nahiri, instead stumbling on ob-nixilis and then attempt to relock the box before the baddies escape, WoT style.
