So I'm playing a BWr version of this deck. I really liked how much removal you could carry between Bolt, Helix, Path, Pact, and Dreadbore. Here is the decklist. I would love opinions on it. I'm also getting back into magic after like 6 years, so if you guys could suggest better cards for what I'm trying to do that would be helpful as well
I've been using prey upon but I don't feel like it is strong enough removal. I don't know how I feel about paying 12 life throughout a game though. Dismember is definitely useless in a close game, but definitely helps you stop the games from getting too close
This deck really just plays against itself. It doesn't matter if your opponent manaleaks your Tusker on turn two, you'll just drop a leatherback on turn 3. You just need to turn as many things sideways as possible every turn, and then you win
I browsed the primer of this deck. Is this a case where you could have a transformative sideboard and swap out win conditions to mess with your opponents sideboard decisions?
I added 4 fetchlands to the deck and it makes it run way better in my opinion. I definitely wouldn't run 8 but 4 windswept heaths are doing a really good job. I've played 9 games today and have won 4. I didn't have a sideboard for some, and I was still learning the deck and keeping hands I wasn't sure about, so I'm pretty happy with its results. I think this deck is a lot of fun to play
I've been wanting to get back into MTG and I think I'M going to buy the cards to make a stompy deck. It looks like I can do the deck and sideboard for under $100
