I made an error. For whatever reason I was thinking it had the Relic of Progenitus graveyard nuking ability.

Big thanks to Feyd for getting this one out! Commander is not my forte, and Daxos showed that while I know how to build a Commander deck, I clearly have a lot to learn. That said, I will be returning to Modern for the next article, but I will showcase different formats going forward!

This sounds like the type of EDH I want to play! Maybe one day I'll come back to Daxos and write up a full upgrade article.

Contamination is pretty expensive, and without a mana rock to produce white we cannot keep it around. I guess with cards like Bitterblossom it works? I do agree though, Contamination is incredibly fun to play with if you enjoy locking everyone out of the game!

I did neglect to discuss the issues with the deck, which is becoming a trend of mine lately that needs to be fixed. Those are all excellent suggestions! Part of the beauty of Commander (to ma at least) is the fact that there is always a card that is overlooked and an excellent addition. I'll keep your suggestions in mind for the future!

That's one reason I really like Stompy: there are so many different ways to build it!

I would wait for Canopy to get reprinted. Looks like they just broke $100, and drawing a card isn't worth that much.

I ended up trimming lands because I was flooding out a lot, but my own personal bias may have gotten in the way of deck building. Stompy is one of those decks with plenty of viable pieces, and sometimes players end up with odd iterations, such as mine which many users have pointed out in saying that I need more lands. This is fair, and an error on my part. I didn't like Baloth because of how removal heavy the format is -- everyone will kill an early 4/5, but many players will either bite the bullet on Groundbreaker or waste a removal spell on a creature that only lasts for a turn.
TLDR: I now have a mistake on the internet, due to thinking Groundbreaker was secretly more powerful than it appears because it is free damage or eats a removal spell that would otherwise be aimed at creature that actually sticks around for longer than a turn. Baloth is a card that I should have given more of a chance.

Everytime I cast Baloth, it felt underwhelming. It just wasn't doing enough. I took on Groundbreaker for to give us reach, and it does its job handily.
The manabase is flexible, but I built it out of personal preference. Mana light is more my style for aggro decks

Our resident Orzhov mage is correct! I would stay tuned for Abyssal Persecutor shenanigans in the near future!

I did not want to look like I was copying Saffron Olive. That was something that, as far as I know, only he has done, and I wanted to leave it alone. You could certainly add it though!

These are all great suggestions! I preferred Purphoros for the ability to buff our attackers, but I see why Impact Tremors would be better. Anybody looking for upgrades, READ DOWN HERE!!!
