Aug 17, 2017CavalryWolfPack posted a message on Treasure Cruisin' with Azorius TitanI made an error. For whatever reason I was thinking it had the Relic of Progenitus graveyard nuking ability.Posted in: Articles

Jul 25, 2017CavalryWolfPack posted a message on Treasure Cruisin' with Mayael the AnimaBig thanks to Feyd for getting this one out! Commander is not my forte, and Daxos showed that while I know how to build a Commander deck, I clearly have a lot to learn. That said, I will be returning to Modern for the next article, but I will showcase different formats going forward!Posted in: Articles

Jul 15, 2017CavalryWolfPack posted a message on Treasure Cruisin' with Daxos EnchantressThis sounds like the type of EDH I want to play! Maybe one day I'll come back to Daxos and write up a full upgrade article.Posted in: Articles

Jul 14, 2017CavalryWolfPack posted a message on Treasure Cruisin' with Daxos EnchantressContamination is pretty expensive, and without a mana rock to produce white we cannot keep it around. I guess with cards like Bitterblossom it works? I do agree though, Contamination is incredibly fun to play with if you enjoy locking everyone out of the game!Posted in: Articles

Jul 13, 2017CavalryWolfPack posted a message on Treasure Cruisin' with Daxos EnchantressI did neglect to discuss the issues with the deck, which is becoming a trend of mine lately that needs to be fixed. Those are all excellent suggestions! Part of the beauty of Commander (to ma at least) is the fact that there is always a card that is overlooked and an excellent addition. I'll keep your suggestions in mind for the future!Posted in: Articles

Jun 25, 2017CavalryWolfPack posted a message on Treasure Cruisin' with Monogreen StompyI would wait for Canopy to get reprinted. Looks like they just broke $100, and drawing a card isn't worth that much.Posted in: Articles

Jun 24, 2017CavalryWolfPack posted a message on Treasure Cruisin' with Monogreen StompyI ended up trimming lands because I was flooding out a lot, but my own personal bias may have gotten in the way of deck building. Stompy is one of those decks with plenty of viable pieces, and sometimes players end up with odd iterations, such as mine which many users have pointed out in saying that I need more lands. This is fair, and an error on my part. I didn't like Baloth because of how removal heavy the format is -- everyone will kill an early 4/5, but many players will either bite the bullet on Groundbreaker or waste a removal spell on a creature that only lasts for a turn.Posted in: Articles
TLDR: I now have a mistake on the internet, due to thinking Groundbreaker was secretly more powerful than it appears because it is free damage or eats a removal spell that would otherwise be aimed at creature that actually sticks around for longer than a turn. Baloth is a card that I should have given more of a chance. -

Jun 22, 2017CavalryWolfPack posted a message on Treasure Cruisin' with Monogreen StompyEverytime I cast Baloth, it felt underwhelming. It just wasn't doing enough. I took on Groundbreaker for to give us reach, and it does its job handily.Posted in: Articles
The manabase is flexible, but I built it out of personal preference. Mana light is more my style for aggro decks -

Jun 16, 2017CavalryWolfPack posted a message on Treasure Cruisin' with Norin's SistersI did not want to look like I was copying Saffron Olive. That was something that, as far as I know, only he has done, and I wanted to leave it alone. You could certainly add it though!Posted in: Articles

Jun 16, 2017CavalryWolfPack posted a message on Treasure Cruisin' with Norin's SistersThese are all great suggestions! I preferred Purphoros for the ability to buff our attackers, but I see why Impact Tremors would be better. Anybody looking for upgrades, READ DOWN HERE!!!Posted in: Articles

Neheb, Dreadhorde Champion, however. Hoo boy.
This card is exactly what we want. While it's a little slow, a 5/4 with trample that gives us ways to get value from our dead cards without requiring us to have little to no cards in hand like Hazoret the Fervent is amazing. We struggle with having dead cards. Neheb directly fixes that. I could write a lot about what this card can do for us, but needless to say, I'm picking these up as soon as I can.
I'll see how out of date the primer is.
1 Scrying Sheets

4 Skred

1 Glorybringer
2 Damping Sphere
2 Legion Warboss
3 Dragon's Claw
2 Pithing Needle

Talk to the current primer owner and us and we'll get you moving!
On a separate note, I have been given control of the Skred primer! I'm going to make a new one because a lot has happened since 2016.
Anyone on Dragon Skred recently? I haven't seen anyone talking about it lately.
Locked!
