I disagree on his review of Illusion of Gaia, but screw that. His "Earthbound - A History" is fantastic.
No problem.
I dont always agree with his opinions, but he is good at what he does and his videos are relevant to the current thread. His BS Zelda retrospective is a favorite of mine.
EDIT: I also like this guy. Click on the sidebar for Super NES, then click on Sort by Grade. Anything that's a B+ or better is usually worth checking out.
This guy covers a lot of obscure classics for the SNES and other 16 bit systems. He gives you a good overview of the games and their significance in history. He also reviews a number of games already mentioned in this thread.
I thought about doing that...my only beef is that it can really slow you down. Without enough threats on the table, it just gives them the opportunity to draw more counters and eventually take control of the game. I might give it a try next tournament though, just to see how it functions.
My instincts are that it could actually help in an attrition battle, albeit indirectly. The fact that you can turn your topdecked Plains into board position means you can ram guys into their blockers until you come out ahead. This plus Bonesplitter sounds like a good combo, at least in the abstract.
I read about this on Kotaku. This guy is a big douche and had it coming.
That said, I get the feeling that internet vigilantism is treading in dangerous territory, and not something that should be considered a civil course of action. There are other (albeit less effective) channels that could have resolved this situation which don't introduce a possible moral dilemma.
(I expect to be flamed for this opinion, but I thought it should be said anyway)
I remember the night clearly...The game store had just closed and I was walking to my car when two guys in my playgroup ran up the street to me very excited like they had just won the lottery or something. Apparently someone called them to tell them Gush had been unrestricted again, and they were just so damn happy they had to run up and tell me right then and there. This one guy, I had never seen him smile so much in my life. I didnt really get what the big deal was because Im not a huge vintage player, but I'll tell you this: there are people out there that care about vintage, and they care about it a lot.
Are there any cultures on earth that consider coveting to be a good thing? Do they believe that by being greedy over their neighbor's material, that they are in fact showing appreciation toward the material's owner?
You will find the phenomenon you describe in any pimp magic cards/decks thread. So...MTG culture?
Pretty much just you guys. You have a huge population, huge roads, warm weather, and just like everywhere else... NOTHING IS ACTUALLY HAPPENING!!!
EDIT: That's why they are always happening in SoCal. Yes they happen elsewhere but you don't see all 4 factors combining like a high speed Voltron like they do there.
Three strikes laws also have something to do with it.
I can understand Paypal's initial suspicions about the activities of the seller - in the sense that I could see some scummy guy saying largely the same things while ripping people off. However, after contacting the user and confirming that they were legit I dont see why they cant change their mind about the whole thing. Also, some of the statements made by paypal regarding this case are just mind boggling and downright contradictory. I suspect there is more at play than Paypal is willing to admit.
Here's a longshot, but maybe you could get him a Kalimba (African thumb piano). They are a fun little instrument, they sort of sound like a Marimba or Xylophone, and they are affordable.
Id like to see Panzer Dragoon Saga re-released in some form. That thing is like friggin $200.
Dragonstomper for the Atari 2600 Supercharger would be a good one too because of it's combination of historical significance and extreme obscurity.
No problem.

I've seen Circle/Rune of Protection: Blue in WW sideboards. I always assumed thats what it was for.

Its been a while since Ive seen Silence of the Lambs. What did Hannibal Lecter say he was? I do remember that part now that you mention it.
