This is just how cats work. My cats do the same thing to new things I bring home, regardless whether it's intended for them or not.
I would try using cardboard boxes. Whenever I get a box in the mail, or whatever, I let the cats fight over it for a couple of days. By the time they get bored of it there is usually a new box to fight over. I have one cat who really loves pizza boxes, and Ill let her have it if its clean enough. Although it is sort of embarrassing to have a pizza box around for a couple weeks or so.
The greatest thing about this reprint is the vastly improved artwork.
Well, that was quick.
Anyway, I agree it's an improvement aesthetically. It looks more like a green land destruction spell than wilds evolving though (the big scary building doesnt really feel wild, for one thing). The original at least illustrated the idea better IMO.
It's going to entirely depend on what you are playing against. If you are a casual player then just use what works the best against your friends' decks. Stuff like Kavu and Fire are nods towards diversifying the removal options, which you might have no use for to begin with. But if your best friend plays elves then Fire is going to be really useful.
Flametongue replaces Steamcore Weird. Id go -1 Firebolt, -1 Staggershock, +2 Fire//Ice as they are all pretty similar. Recoup, I forgot, only works on Sorceries, so nevermind that one. In theory, Id like to throw a Desert into lists that run Expedition Map. Not sure you want to go down that road.
Tough call on the Fireballs. Both seem like they would be good, but for different reasons. Id go with Volcanic Geyser because I think instant speed trumps almost any other intangible a card could have.
It's interesting to debate which of these graphs is more telling. I think the 2nd AK from this chart stands out more than the 4th AK in the other, but I could be wrong.
Im not really feeling the Umbras, but I like the direction this is headed. Also, what does Curse of Chains do better than Pacifism, other than hit Guardian of the Guildpact?
