The "when it attacks, it gets +1/+1" on the Freighter is interesting: both that and the trample means it's much better to crew it as an attacker than as a blocker, but the timing also means it can't crew-chain into piloting Demolition Stomper by itself.
Also: TRAAAAAINS. I'm so glad we can actually cast trains in Magic now.
Oh god. I can already hear half the players at my prerelease yelling Choooo-Choooo!!! as they swing at their opponent with these things.
I wonder how good fabricate is predicted to be. They seem to have held back on a lot of the power of fabricate cards, but then again I might be underestimating their power. I'm kind of hoping there's an uncommon enchantment that gives all tokens (or artifact creatures) a +1/+1 boost; maybe like a favorable winds.
well, this one, specifically is just a really bad Whirler Rogue
Not necessarily. Its all in the context of the format man. Whirler Rogue was in origins which didnt have as much artifact/token support as Kaladesh seems to have. Also don't underestimate versatility. There will be times when you want this to be 4/3.
That said, I don't get the stats on the Aviator at all. "2/5" flying for 5 at uncommon? I feel like there's something missing here.
I'm with you here. I kept rereading this card over and over feeling I was missing something, some line of text maybe, some word or number i misread or something....
If this is the actual card and actual stats...why? what is the thinking behind it. I just want to know. Why is it so seemingly poor/sub par. What warrants it being 5, an, uncommon, and DOUBLE BLUE? Did they test it and find that thopter tokens are extremely more powerful than they were in Origins? Was this originally a 2/3 but in design editing it was accidently made into an 0/3 and they were too lazy or didnt notice? I really just want to talk to whoever made this card and ask them WHY? I just......dont understand the reasoning behind it. Kinda frustrating actually.
Hold up...A 4/3 flying vigilance lifelink anthem creature for 5 is considered BAD these days??
Certainly not. This is how it always is with most good spoiled cards. people are extremely skeptical and criticize the heck out of it and then it becomes a chase rare that dominates the pro tour.
It's nice to know that wizards doesn't give a crap a white cards. Keeps me from getting my hopes up. This card should have honestly been 3 or 4 mana.
geez there's misevaluating cards and then theres just trolling. cmon guy. 3 mana?
People are undervaluing this thing way too much. The versatility is great. and no matter which route you chose it gives an anthem to tokens AND nontokens.
wow...lazy and lame. had to make them all the same....ugh. this is kinda derpressing. the pax weekend and first couple days the spoilers were great. Usually the bulk is shown mostly the 2nd week of spoilers near the end.
This could be really bad. Either it means theres pretty much only garbage bulk left...which is a huge portion of the set as only 1/3 has been revealed so far or they are doing it differently this time and release bulk in the middle of spoilers. Hopefully the latter.
So these are lazy and lame but vanillas aren't? Yes they are generic, yes they aren't amazing. They're not supposed to be. Why is this not something you have come to expect?
I just did not expect these kinda things so early in the spoiler weeks. anyway in regards to the vanillas my eyes almost rolled outa my head when i saw them.
I get that these are a cycle and thats fine, I just wish there was a bit more creativity in their design. maybe a keyword that makes sense with their color, yknow.

Im not sure if this is the right place for this. Couldnt find a general Magic online section.
I have been doing alot of the sealed leagues, mostly friendly 9 match and I kid you not, about 3-4 out of my 9 opponents have liliana, the last hope. almost every time. I've done about a dozen of these so far. It there some sort of promotional marketing thing going on here? Never seen anything like this before.
I love the design of the Eldrazi transform cards. Emrakul's just wreaking so much chaos even the werevolves aren't safe from her influence. Wasn't much of a fan of the way normal werewolves transformed anyway.
Loving this set so far. These cards look like they're gonna be fun to play with. Intro pack rares are intro pack rares of course, but they look awesome for limited, especially the Niblis. Glad we got a solid cheap red burn spell too.
I just realized that Pore Over the Pages can untap your partners lands. That seems sick to reliably get 7 mana on turn 5 if your partner plays this spell.
Actually I dont think thats how it works. The card is referring to you. It doesn't say untap up to 2 "target" lands.

Need to turn your attitude around then. Be happy for them and happy when you open yours sometime.

only 1 more mythic and 6 rares left to be spoiled.
I count 15 mythics so far. we should be getting 3 more.
oops nvm only 2 left.
