First of all, I'm currently playing with Affinity, however, I did not liked the style of the deck. I did like the several angles possibles to win, and do not like the terrible top decking and lack of gas in longer matches.

    Cards you already own
    -Complete affinity
    -A playset of new karn
    -Some shocks and fetchs

    Colors you like to play
I'm not proud of myself telling that I learned that I really like playing blue/black,

    Style you like to play
I got into modern a year ago, tried Burn and Affinity, and saw that I dislike playing aggro. I like to be in control or to cast big things, other than be fast or have a large amount of creatures.

Level you want to play at, or aim to build up to (causal, fmn, ptq)
Competitive leagues in MTGO. I do not have time to go to the LGS nearby.

    Extra information
Budget wise, I'll trade my Affinity (near 350tix) and throw a plus if needed.

UW control is like aprox 350 ticket, and the best control deck (right now).

Sweet lists! I guess I'll try the miracle version, and maybe build a UBx Tessert control for the friendly leagues since they share a couple of cards.

    Thanks!

I'm also testing with double Jar, however I manage to play a few matches since the change. It's nice to see a Jar and a nice threat in the play against heavy removal deck, but as kodieyost said there are games where you lack creatures to pressure the opponent or when they use path to exile.

I think the mardu and abzan decks will increase in number (they performed very well in the PT) so packing at least a single Jar main deck seen nice. How do you feel the meta will shift and how will impact affinity after the PT?

Today I found a new nemesis!! Mono Green Tron, lost 2 times in a row for this deck. Only won the first games...Ancient Strings is too overpower, dig 5 for an answer is not fair. And indeed, Thoughtcast was not helpful at all.

I never thought that learn a deck was that hard, affinity has too many lines and the mulligans are critical.

I keep Champion, their only out is Supreme Verdict. If they play Search I bring in RiP if they don’t I don’t. Thoughtseize and blood moon all come in. I take out 1-2 ravager 2 overseer against any deck with stony silence. On the draw I take out a citadel, we aren’t going for nut draw and it gets shut down by silence.

It’s unfavorable but definitely winnable. I lost to it in g3 because my opponent literally topdecked his perfect sequence to get out of my bind, d sphere for blood moon, next turn runed halo on Champion, next turn halo on Grid, next turn Gideon Jura.

Makes sense! I was thinking that a good solution for the top decking mode is the thoughtcast, is so sad to lose for a double Snapcaster and keep drawing lands. What you think about it? My go this week is to beat at least one time UWx control.

Guys, what a blood bath!! Affinity is hard as hell of a deck, I'm loving it. I just played in the tournament pratice room and lost 7 matchs and won 5. I need a lot more training to enter a league (even the friendly). I took the kodieyost adivice and I'm running the Zyrnak list.

I faced a lot UWx, this seen to be a bad M.U. to me, or I need to learn more to play around the amount of removal of this deck. What do you guys SB in in this M.U.? I took the Champions out and bring the Blood Moons and 1 thoughtseize.

PS: I miss clicked a Ghirapur Aether Grid activation and killed my on Memnite LOL

    Hi guys,

Today I pulled the trigger and traded my burn deck to buy the affinity one. Burn get bored too quickly and after reading a tons of articles and primers I thought that affinity is the right deck for me. I love to play trick decks.

I haven't time to play the deck yet, have to work through the weekend, but monday I'll start to play some leagues (I only play online, there are no LGS near to me).

Wish me luck! After the first league I'll came back to report the results and my thoughts about the deck.

Thank you very much for the info shared here, helped me a lot! Have a nice day guys.

Thanks guys, I looked the lists and seen sweet. The 5-0 lists are between 150~300, I'll build a budget list first to see if I like tron in modern.

    Hi everyone,

I'm running a naya burn without Eidolons for a while, but to me the deck is too linear. It's not an easy deck to pilot as some say, however once you learn to sequence the spells the deck turns out to be a little boring.

Now I'm looking to build a deck less linear, something with a better draw and interaction. I played some pauper with temur tron and felt great, some turns you draw 2 or more cards and wins out of nowhere. What your thoughts about tron this days? I have the urza's lands, the cheap artifacts and the Ugin. My budget to start the new deck is between $250-300 and I play only in MTGO, there is no LGS near where I live =/.

    Thanks!

    In terms of losing gas:

You either run out of burn spells or die trying. Part of the game is being patient, and waiting on spells.

Part of it is getting as much creature damage in as you can and then playing defense while you draw the last 1-2 cards.

The Boros version to me feels smoother.

Atarka's command is insanely powerful, but it isn't removal when you need it. A lot of times, it functions as a skullcrack.
Except skullcrack's damage can't be prevented clause makes skullcrack better in those situations.

Also having to fetch and shock multiple times is brutal in game 1.

Thank you for the infos. I'm running a list with only 8 creatures (4xgoblins+4xmonastery), next month I'm going to purchase the Eidolons, guess its the steam that I'm lacking of.

I've playing a lot and piloting Burn is so sweet!

    Congratulation, nice PTQ log!

I have a questions about Eidolon. I started playing Burn last week and I got a full Boros list, however, I'm missing the Eidolons. What could replace that card? Do you fell Eidolon is a MVP in some matches? I have the mana base to go Mardu or Naya and some of those pieces, like Attarka Cmd.

The Boros list fells to lose gas too quickly or I'm pilot wrong the deck.

    Thanks and advance.

    Cards you already own

Nothing that can be used to build a modern deck. I have a pool of commanders decks with some friends that we play when I go to my parents town, but I can use none of those cards to build the deck.

    Colors you like to play

The only color that I dislike is red. I tried a commander deck with Norin for the lols, but red isnt for me.

Style you like to play (control, combo, aggro, midrange, tempo, ramp, rogue)

I like interactive deck, control/disruption and midrange. Short games and combo isnt fun.

    Budget you have

To start I'm willing to spend 200~300$

Level you want to play at, or aim to build up to (causal, fmn, ptq)

I moved recently and here I have nobody to play with, and playing MTGO isnt the same. So I thogth that would be nice to play some modern FNM at the LGS to make some friends, and next year maybe try some major tornament (PTQs ?).
