From what I've seen Battlewise Hoplite is good yes but it costs both a blue and a white source of mana while all the other creatures in the deck a white and colorless. I've had problems in the past trying to get him out when I draw nothin but white mana or mana confluences which cost you 1 life just to put him out and thats if your lucky enough. Gonna try out Ross's deck and see how it does at FNM. Might make a few tweaks.
Interesting tourny to watch, Ross Merriam won with an interesting take on Bant Heroic. Might have to reconsider those Monastery Mentors in my deck and see how they do

Right now I'd doing Standard and Modern Tourney's. Using Bant Heroic for standard and using homebrew Delve Deck for Modern. Working on building a EDH deck also just don't know what kind of deck I wanna build yet
Tried out Bant Heroic with a tweaked sideboard over the weekend for FNM and Gameday Saturday and Sunday and ended up getting 4th place in all the events. This deck did great against all my opponents except for Red Deck Wins... I did sideboard in my 4 encase in Ice's but they came either to early or to late.. Gonna try and tweak my sideboard again next standard tourny
