I know some don't like the rule change, but I think it was a welcomed and needed change. Yeah the colorless crowd is a bit sad, but it gives other cards who didn't see much play some needed attention. I started a new Sen Triplets build after the rule change hoping that maybe this time I can have some fun playing the deck.
The partial paris thing never affected me as my playgroup never used it, but I can only imagine how bad it was.
Also, I think Endbringer has it's merits in certain decks. Even the tap down effect on it is really useful.
Oh, I didn't even notice. Interesting. Kinda wondering what role they play in the final act.
15-16 from what I gathered. I mean, it's not completely unreasonable. What's the timeframe from the book to War of the Spark? That would give a better answer.
Funny story about that. I was brewing around an idea for a story set on a plane inspired by norse and celtic mythology and one of the visitor planeswalkers was originally from theros. The character is a champion of Phenax and had a unique weapon that could transform into a demon that inhabited said weapon, which this character is mostly inspired from the Sorceress class in Black Desert Online. I'm still fleshing it out, but I'm hoping to introduce it sometime later. This all takes place way before the mending.
Back on topic though. I'm still think the staff lady is the one who ascends at the end of Children of the Nameless. Others were saying the "wanderer" might be Elspeth based on the boots being similar, but I'm hoping it isn't.
Here's the link to the MTG Weekly with the author.
This would trigger me so hard. I want to go back to Theros specifically to get Elspeth out.
Back to the whole team up thing, wouldn't Ob and Sorin be a better team up since they both have a personal vendetta against Nahiri? Honestly there's just a lot from so little info that doesn't make sense.
Damn, someone beat me to it.
I'm 75% excited because this set drops on my birthday, so if there is some good things in here, then I'll be 100% excited and getting my birthday present. I like Serra as a flier support card, but other then that, is she really going to shape modern? Doubtful. I can't even gauge her power for modern. UW spirits? Eh. Also not sure on the powerlevel of the other card spoiled.
What was the rare you opened the least? I opened Phyrexian Tower, Sublime Archangel, Reivillark, Ancient Tomb, Urborg, Celestial Colonnade, Visions of Beyond, Nourishing Shoal, Desolate Lighthouse, Vexing Devil, Goryo's Vengeance, Maelstrom Pulse, Daybreak Coronet, Raging Ravine, Woodfall Primus, Through the Breach, Seismic Assault, Sovereigns of Lost Alara, Squee, and Disrupting Shoal.
What was the mythic you opened the least? Mythic Pulls were Balefire Dragon, Sigarda, Mikaeus.
What were you box toppers? Gaddock Teeg
What, if any, were your FOIL Mythic pulls? Sigarda, with a Noble Hierarch, Entomb, and Creeping Tar Pit rare foils.
Overall I was pretty ok with this box and got things I wanted. EDIT: And yes, I pulled a foil and non-foil version of Sigarda.
EDIT: I know I have a hard time finishing content here, but I'll probably end up working something out like making detailed decklists to co-exist with the content I will be streaming and eventually putting on Youtube.
Beggars can't be choosers.
I also don't think we'll get nearly as many planeswalkers in Ravnica 3.0 as everyone is speculating on. That's a lot of PW's in standard.
