I use the decked app, good for most of the cards, some of the specialty cards like judge promos are not in it, but it is good for taking with you anywhere. Tcgplayer is good for keeping track of everything perfectly, just takes forever to get your collection loaded up into it
Pretty much 4x of every card, after all the years of collecting best way I have found is 3” and 4” D ring binders, do not bookend them, lay flat on shelving. I have walls of shelves with binders, stack 2 high max. Organized by block. Extra commons/uncommons go into 5000 count boxes organized by color.
These price increases for modern that are happening now is because of their announcement how masters are going to be themed now. They have instilled confidence back into the speculation market again that is modern. Everything they do is a double edged sword, someone wins but others lose.
I’m of the opinion white border cards need to come back, people want cheaper cards, white border are ugly but you can print those much more heavily as reprints and not affect your pricing of black borders as much.
Magic has been around for 25 years, think about that. It has developed its own economy, has grown to what it is now because of the players, speculators, collectors. Wizards has to tread carefully, you lose one of those and this game will die. They have to do things slowly in order to not disrupt the building blocks that have formed over these 25 years.
Hrm, prophetic flamespeaker seems like it would be decent in the deck, better than confidant and with all the counter triggers on it doublestrike + card advantage. Kind of a forgotten card in Journey to nowhere (nyx). Casting cost is a negative though
After the terrible disaster that was iconic masters they had to do something, they lined that up perfectly, now jtms price has doubled. You can expect go to tier one decks now so his price will triple due to people wanting to play the 30% meta deck that contains him. Wizards will sell the rest of iconic masters out and now 25 will fly off the shelves. Welcome back to a 10 deck modern or less again. Goodbye to a modern that was the perfect meta, thanks wizards.
The card pool for magic is getting massive, Legacy and Modern now seem to be flagships which is very bad. People are looking to cards to fill in for those formats which they have to keep competing with top tier cards. They are reprinting those cards at faster rates in “speciality” sets which is depreciating confidence and card values. I believe wizards needs to bring a rotating extended format back, start commander as an official tournament format and of course have standard with staples being reprinted in it. Modern, legacy, need to be just be a once a year tournament or sadly, eliminate them. Modern is killing their ability to print more powerful cards, rotating formats solve it and diversify your playing field. They could then reprint cards from legacy era and not worry about them forever affecting a format like Modern. Modern I think is the root problem as the years go by.
Lmao that shipped sailed hours ago
