Sword Art Online Season II - 2014 Activated.

I saw the explosions that occurred due to the blind fan-hater wars on other forums already - people grading it both 10/10 and 0/10 before we even get the airing season.

Still, I found the adaptation okay for the first season (considering it's a Light Novel as opposed to a visual source.) ALO was going to fail for me regardless because the original script was just that bad.

Now, it's going to Phantom Bullet - Gun Gale Online (GGO) Arc, which was probably the second-best written arc in it. And it might possibly adapt the arc after that, Mother's Rosario - which gets my vote as best written arc. So I'm going with confidence that it will be better than the first season, not due to hype, because the arcs adapted with superior with their source material as opposed to SAO and ALO.

    Here's hoping.

So I just watched the world premier of Space Dandy. It was.....interesting to say the least. Whatever the case I think it will be entertaining.

I watched all three seasons and the OVA's. Is there anything different about the manga? The only thing I can think of are possibly the conquests they quickly mention at the beginning of season 3.

So I just finished The World God Only Knows and I want to continue with reading the manga. Does anyone know where season 3 ends in the manga?

  • posted a message on [[Official]] "What Deck Should I Play?"
Hey guys. Back from a long hiatus and I'm wondering what to build for the current season. I have always played aggro for as long as I can remember but I'm looking to expand my horizons a little more this year and play something a bit more interactive. That said, currently here are the decks I have:

    Boros Aggro
    Affinity

Obviously they are very aggressive decks but if there is a new twist I can put on them that could work. Otherwise I am thinking about:

    UWR Midrange
    RWb Aggro
Soul Sisters (Probably splash red or black)
Tron Variant (Mono blue or Gr)
    UR Delver
Dark Naya Zoo (If I can borrow my friend's Goyfs)

If it helps, in the past I played legacy Angel Stompy, legacy Goblins, standard RDW, Affinity, and legacy Mono Black Aggro.

As far as the meta I'm expecting, Affinity will be there and so will the hate. Control and combo are always popular in the area so UWR control, Tron, Pod, and Twin. And of course Jund will be around. After that a wide assortment of other top decks and random creations.

So with that, what might be a good option to play that might be a bit deeper and a little more intricate to play?

  • posted a message on Music Synced Light System aka Light Organ
    Hello everyone,
I am looking to build/buy a light organ system for when my friends and I have parties. I am an electrical engineering student so I figured I could build one. I have found two schematics that could work.

    http://www.instructables.com/answers/Led-Music-Sync-Lamp-V-30-Help-with-circuit/

    http://www.jameco.com/Jameco/workshop/diy/ledcolororgan.html

The first one is pretty straightforward, just a amplifier stage with a low pass, high pass, and band pass filter. The second one is more complex though I assume it follows a similar idea.

I was wondering if anymore has had any experience with building one of these systems? If there a different circuit architecture that could be better? Is there a kit or fully built system that can be bought and modified?

Thanks for any input you can provide.

Hey, does anyone play this game? My friend and I have been playing for a while and are looking for some other people to play with. For those who haven't played, here is the site:

    http://dragonnest.nexon.net/

The game is an MMORPG that uses a non-targetting combat system. There are five initial classes: Warrior, Sorceress, Archer, Cleric, and Tinkerer. Each of this classes has two upgrade classes at lvl 15 and each of those has an upgrade class at lvl 45.

The game is free with micro-transactions though I have yet to spend a cent. For people who have not played, there is a mentor system which allows you to get free equipment and an experience boost.

For those who have played, we would like to attempt Sea Dragon Nest so we need at least three more people though six more for the full eight would be better. I have a lvl 50 fully geared Destroyer and a lvl 50 almost fully geared Physician. I also have a lvl 50 Pyromancer but she has no lvl 50 epics yet. My friend's finished characters are a Gladiator and a Lunar Knight with an Adept, War Mage, Crusader, and Barbarian who still need gearing.

    So, does anyone here play?

What are people's thoughts on Emancipation Angel in a Landfall version? She helps to curve out the deck and provides additional landfall triggers similar to Kor Skyfisher back in the standard version.

With the nerf to storm there is no need for Thalia in the main. However, I don't think midrange Boros will be able to complete with UWR. So is it time for a hyper aggressive Boros list closer to lists from last season?

What do people think of Snapcaster? I personally don't think he will be banned but I have a possible trade to get a playset and I don't want to get him then have him banned a week later.

Here is a link to the PTQ in NY, around 6:15 is Boros vs. UWR, He's playing a more aggressive version with Thalia, Spikeshot Elder, Hero of Bladehold and a Scepter. Decklist here

I would think that Goblin Guide would go against Thalia similar to how the number of Paths is usually reduced with Thalia.

Ok fine, three colors isn't "Boros". I was just brainstorming (My mind tends to wander in probability class.....) Anyways, I was discussing the deck with my friend last night and I think I am going to investigate a black splash more. Otherwise, my RW build is almost done, just a couple card choices left. I will post when I finish.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. So here are the changes I am thinking

    -1 Thalia
    -1 Land
    +2 Mirror Entity

Kabira Evangel should go in the board as a two of. The black splash seems like win more rather than filling some pivotal role.

Hello everyone. So my friends and I were theorycrafting one day when my friend brought up his GW allies deck. We were discussing it when we thought it might be able to work in modern. After updating the list, here is what we have.

The allies provide most of the damage in the deck and can actually provide a pretty strong early game. Mentor provides the mid and late game card advantage since he procs off every creature in the deck. Thalia works great with the low number of non creatures. Also, vial opens up mana for the extra cost from Thalia as well as Mentor. Ghostway is just silly with allies as well as protection from sweepers.

Cavern is good but you don't need 4 due to vial. Ghost Quarter helps with Tron, Inkmoth, etc.

Other options we were considering but cut for the above build:
    Jwari Shapeshifter
    Kabira Evangel
    Talus Paladin
    Turntimber Ranger

    Any thoughts?

So another thing I have been contemplating is a minor color splash. I love the core of Boros and I think it is very strong, but adding a very minor color splash even it it is for 1 card in the main and SB materials could be beneficial in filling the holes in RW. And that is the way I have been brainstorming so far, only adding one card of the third color in the main. This keeps the Boros core strong and intact while adding an additional element. Here are my thoughts so far.

    Black
    1. Lingering Souls. If we get a good enough battalion card, souls boros might be worth it.
    2. Blightning. The disruption that RW is missing and even burns the opponent for us.
    3. Dark Confidant. Card Advantage, enough said.

    Blue
    1. Spell Pierce/Mana Leak/Spell Snare/etc. Provides counters to deal with problems we can't just burn or remove.
    2. Electrolyze. Card draw and burn.

I thought about Snapcaster but at that point we go more controlish with more spells and lose some early aggression to the point where you should just run UWr Delver. With no Snapcaster we can run 4 Grim. Also, with no snaps there can be more creatures which makes delver worse though delver could still be a option.

    Green
    1. Qasali Pridemage. Decent body, exalted, and artifact/enchantment hate main.
    2. Tarmogoyf. Obviously you should consider goyf. However, with your own grims he probably wont be big enough to automatically include him over other cards.

I haven't consider sideboard yet but obviously each color adds its own options to the board. Thoughts on this? I can post lists I am thinking about if people want me to.
