It's certainly becoming far more consistent. Currently I have placed Griselbrand back in, but mostly for testing/place holder.
I have the cards in the maybeboard as consideration, but currently I'm really liking how the deck is functioning.
There is one thing that changed significantly. If you notice, the only white card left is Doomed Traveler! Which isn't the best to splash, even if he could potentially give me at least one zombie and a spirit.
I have been looking at other zombie cards and came across this guy, Diregraf Captain which, to me, seems pretty great for this deck. He reminds me of a somewhat less ridiculous Death Baron. And if I were to splash blue instead of white, it could open up some potential card draw.
There are also zombies like Grimgrin, Corpse-Born... But having him AND Grave Titan seems like overkill.
Ok so I took your advice and tried fiddling with the deck.
But I just couldn't get it to really function consistently. There were just too many steps for getting Human Tokens from Zombie tokens.
So I revamped the deck and changed it around a bit. I replaced the human token generators with actual human creatures, as well as added a few more zombie cards.
The deck has become significantly more consistent! Although, I think there are still some changes that could make it better.
Which direction should I go from here? Any suggestions for cards to add/drop?
Thanks!
(On a side note, think I'm going to have to swap out a few cards if I actually buy this deck... The cost went from about $60 to about $110. Thanks in part to the Godless Shrine's)
I've been wanting to create a Zombie Token deck for quite a while. My original idea was to have an Orzhov themed deck that revolved around human tokens that generated zombies and spirits. But it was WAY too cumbersome... So I threw this together the other day. The main idea being to overwhelm the opponent through Human and Zombie tokens, while having some big hitters if needed.
I also have Corpse Blockade in the sideboard as an alternative to Gravecrawler. Although he's rather expensive.
The weaknesses I see are that it is VERY prone to removal... Remove a few key cards and it can break down.
I'm trying to keep this deck relatively cheap, as it's really only for kitchen table play.
(EDIT: that is to say, currently it's roughly $60 which is about as high as I want to go)
For me it's cards like:
Congregate
Angelic Overseer
Elgaud Inquisitor
Smite
Celestial Flare
Erase
Commander's Authority
Wrath of God
or, Brimaz, King of Oreskos
In my mind I think of: spirits and ghosts, holy blessings, healing and wellness, angels, humans, and of course cats.
What about you?

2x Archfiend of Depravity
4x Disciple of Griselbrand
2x Grave Titan
3x Gravecrawler
4x Thraben Doomsayer
4x Xathrid Necromancer
Sorcery (10)
4x Bone Splinters
4x Gather the Townsfolk
2x Increasing Devotion
4x Endless Ranks of the Dead
2x Phyrexian Unlife
Instant (3)
3x Dark Ritual
Land (20)
7x Plains
4x Scoured Barrens
9x Swamp
Artifact (2)
2x Door of Destinies
4x Corpse Blockade
2x Ghoulcaller Gisa
The plan is to generate Human Tokens via Thraben Doomsayer and Gather the Townsfolk/Increasing Devotion
And then turn those Humans into Zombies via Xathrid Necromancer and attacking/blocking, or Disciple of Griselbrand
Gravecrawler is present for buffing the other tokens via Door of Destinies, and helping to generate more tokens through Endless ranks of the Dead. He would also be very helpful for Ghoulcaller Gisa, as BB could generate two zombie tokens and bring him back...
I have Grave Titan in as an end game card, due to his token generation and big body.
The Archfiend of Depravity is in for his effect and flying damage.
Also Phyrexian Unlife is in to help with the Fateful Hour cards if I'm losing.
I also have Corpse Blockade in the sideboard as an alternative to Gravecrawler. Although he's rather expensive.
