My favorite deck was something like this:

    3 mishra's workshop
    4 Juggernaut
    4 Su-chi
    2 Triskelion
lotsa moxes, black loti, ancestrals, lighting bolts, wheel of fortune, and so on.

Nothing felt better than curving out with,
    t1: juggernaut
    t2: juggernaut
    t3: su-chi, lighting-bolt, wheel of fortune, etc.

Didn't take a single damage from the final boss. Shandalar rawks!

    Awesome!

This will make for an awesome dynamic between race and class synergy as far as drafting. I guess race will still be more represented with two packs, but I can see this being really cool. Faerie soldiers vs. Giant Wizards!!

Kinship- the new banding? Or maybe like equipment creatures:

    Trenchmate
    kithkin soldier
    1W

Kinship 2, Tap: Target creature you control becomes friends with Trenchmate. As long as trenchmate is tapped, target creature gets +1/+2 and is a soldier. If target creature goes to the graveyard, put a +1/+1 counter on trenchmate. You may choose not to untap trenchmate during your untap step.

    2/2

As soon as I saw the green elemental token I thought it reminded me very much of a colossus from Shadow of the Colossus. Compare the two images below. Note the small glowing eyes, the horns and the sense of scale. If you've played the game, I think the resemblence is obvi. Big stony, mossy creatures with glowing lines all over their body.

I guess I still dig the art, it just feels like a rip.

  • posted a message on [[Official]] Are there any players/places to play in ______ ?
I live in Chapel Hill, NC. I'm looking for people to draft, or play just about any format with. Casual or competitive. I don't mind going to nearby FNMs but there aren't any that are super close. I know a few people nearby that get together for drafts at a judge's apt. almost weekly, but numbers are running thin. We could use more people if anyone is interested. Or I'd be happy to host some magic at my place in carrboro occasionally.

Jollythe Oct. you could come by if you're willing to come out to chapel hill. Otherwise I highly recommend All Fun N Games in Apex for FNM. I think there is a place called lost goblin games in raleigh, but I've never been there.

    Hey,

    Heres the deck:

    4x Marytr of Sands
    4x Kami of False Hope
    4x Grim Harvest
    4x Proclamation of Rebirth

    2x Ronom Unicorn
    2x Genju of the Fields

    2x Pillory of the Sleepless
    3x Faiths Fetters
    4x Devouring light
    4x Condemn

    1x Myojin of Cleansing Fire
    1x Debtor's Knell
    1x Shining Shoal

    Land:
    4x Orzhov Basillica
    4x Godless Shrine
    12x Plains
    4x Swamp

So the Idea is to either set up recursion of martyr of sands/ kami of false hope with grim harvest/ proclamation of rebirth. Combat damage plans don't really stand a chance, and burn won't even get close. A healthy dollop of removal helps too. Once things are set up, a recurring myojin, or debtor's knell should finish things off.

I just came up with the idea for this deck a couple days ago. I won a few games with it already, using a much janker version of the deck, against snakes (with 6 snakes a jitte and coat of arms out) and rakdos sligh.

I'm concerned that this deck wont do anything to blue control, and is way too slow for heartbeat. What kind of changes or sideboard, could I make to deal with those decks? Arifact hate is likely needed for sure.

    Thanks for checking it out.
