After more play testing, Goblin Dark-Dwellers is such an amazing card for this deck and it translates very well against aggro or control. After more tweaks, testing and info from this thread and OP, here is what I am running now:
I would say, that it would seem too slow, and if it was just Nahiri, I would probably just drop here and run your shell with just B/W. I play tested Liliana, and she never fit well in my shell.
I really like the concept of Collective Defiance, but double red early seems tough given the current lands available.
Agree completely. It's a tough sell, especially since I also want double black for Liliana on turn 3 and double white for Gisela on turn 4. Realistically this is the main point of the Corrupted Grafstones, and the Defiances/Lilianas/Giselas will have to come out one turn late. Liliana may have to go in the end, as Collective Defiance and Gisela are much more instrumental to the game plan.
I think you are correct in your thought here. Liliana is awkward and would skew our black mana sources to the point of unbalanced. If you want additional planeswalkers, +2 of Sorin or Chandra would be possible additions as well. I'd lean towards Sorin for your deck list.
I recently got back into magic after about 15 years of not playing This is the first deck I have brewed from scratch since then. I started playing again, last November and ran a rally deck in standard and living dead deck for modern. Now rally is gone and I am lost Here is the deck I have brewed and have been testing. I am winning about 40% ( best 2 out of 3) of the matches during play testing. Any advice is greatly appreciated! Note: I have not optimized the mana curve in this deck as I have not had a lot of problems so far. With an exception of the couterspells, the rest of the sideboard sucks and has not really been used much.
How does 22 land work out for you? Especially with 2 Sorin and 3 Hero, I would consider going up to 23.
It really has not caused too many problems. It could definitely be sample size. I have ran this for 2 weeks online. Playing nearly everyday.
I switched out both Fetid for arid mesa and the deck hits more T1 thought/inquis thank you for the suggestion.
So far today:
2-0 Mirror matchup ( I won the anthem battle and discarded his hero's )
2-0 Splinter twin Straight beat down on G1 then an unexpected T3 Stain the mind shut down the deck )
If you sideboard either of these, why do you prefer one over the other? I have been running stain the mind due to the convoke, allowing me to cast this turn 3 in a perfect world.

I do not see a reason to main deck timely reinforcements givin your setup. I think you need +2 honor of the pure.
I think this is the key here, it slows down our tempo. I am looking forward to trying out Myth realized and Secure the wastes.
