Do you guys think that, in a straight Boros list, there is room for a Ramunap Ruins or two? It seems like there is very little opportunity cost and that two extra points when you topdeck a land may be helpful.
Personally I think that the chord version will be much better after EMN due to selfless soul being so good. I plan main decking one in my chord version asap.
So where is everyone in regards to the new spirit (Selfless Spirit)? I feel it is almost main deckable in the chord builds and I am itching to test it out there. I feel like it is better than Forgetender in the sideboard too, though maybe playing one of each is better. Thoughts?
Quick question. What do you guys think about Warping Wail? Obviously, the last choice is terrible, but the first two seem really useful against both board sweepers, infect, and abzan company.
If they are running Anafenza over Melira, you have the best cards in your deck to combat this. Any pump spell that gives +2 toughness will make anafenza target herself or the sac outlet (yes I am saying use aspect on their newly entered finks). Also, with kiki chord we already have vines in the mainboard as well. just cast in response to anafenza's trigger or in response to the etb for the resto angel.
I play stompy (beats as you call it). It is an awesome deck. I would never get rid of the militants because of snappy and goyf. That said, the upgrade of this deck costs about 15 bucks plus a sideboard. Step 1 is remove the young wolfs for avatar of the resolute. It is a significantly better card than young wolf. Step two is replace 2 tuskers with scavenging oozes. Step 3 is the land. I suggest 19 forest and 2 treetops. With that extra spot I'd run a 1 of your choice of obstinate baloth or fun grove elders depending on the amount of jund and junk you see.
I would rather go with Mastery of the Unseen over Myth Realized. Molten Vortex could help you later as a 1 of to turn your 15-26 lands into shocks. I would rather run Clash of Wills over Disdainful Stroke and maybe Dissipate over that even. SB Roast pull out the Anticipates for a Jace's Ingenuity or two and Swift Reckonings. Pull out Anger for Ojutai's Command.
I agree that the jets are generally too slow. Dragon Fodder works well with Foundry Street though. A couple of questions for you. 1. Does Akroan Soldier make more sense than Satyr Hoplite? 2. What is the optimum number of Bellstrikers? 3. If I had access to the fetchlands does it make sense to play those? I think I could borrow up to 4 of each from a friend.
4x Molten Vortex
4x Day's Undoing
4x Treasure Cruise
4x Dig through Time
4x Eidolon of the Great Revel
40x Red and/or Blue lands
You mulligan until you have a vortex in your hand and drop it T1 then start going off.
