What about something like a Show and Tell variant?

    Ancestral Dreams - U
    Sorcery
When you cast Ancestral Dreams, each opponent may put a card from their hand into play without paying it's casting cost.

That is broken. It would hands down be the best draw spell since Ancestral Recall. And it would hoist a $30 price tag if it were Mythic. No thanks. It will end up being a play on Divination.

    New Divine 2U
    Instant (U)

    Target player draws a card.
Rebound (If you cast this spell from your hand, exile it as it resolves. At the beginning of your next upkeep, you may cast this card from exile without paying its mana cost.)

This makes slightly better than Divination. Its replaces itself and has a slowtrip attached to it. It allows you to play Divination on your opponent's end step but it also restricts you from being able to dig too deep during your opponents turn. We aren't going to see a better instant speed draw spell. I wouldn't be surprised if it cost 1UU or even UUU though...because this will be a staple in many decks.

Ahem $30? Try it would be $75. That is BASICALLY recall. It's one card off. There would be NO excuse to not splash blue in ANYTHING for that card and it immediately would make everything stronger in vintage that runs blue (basically everything). There would be a better chance of Brainstorm coming back.

Now onto the Alpha speculation... I say it will be a Gauntlet of Power variant

I must say the Jug-O-Spheres main are a pain. It's another lock piece. As a TPS player, it's just another headache for me to try and get around. I think they are very good in MUD/Aggroshop but they deserve a spot in 5c Stax too. I've played against Rome with it as well as watched it in other MUs where it just shined. It's a sphere on a stick... seems A-OK. They make this MU even more in Stax favor. I cannot think of a scenario where they are bad. Test them and you'll see.

It's good. Better choice than Summer Bloom IMO. The cantrip makes it basically cycle late game if need be so it's not awful. Seems like a Vala-ramp toy.

I LOVE the flavor and I LOVE the card. I want 4 ASAP. He will be VERY good. People that don't think he is, I will gladly take those off your hands. There are plenty of ways to kill off your own creatures. Whoops Fleshbag Maurader. Oh no my own terminate. Oops I pulsed it. Oh no, I sac'd it to Vampire Aristocrat. It is just awesome. The flavor is very black. 10/10 A+.

Talk about power creep... 6 mana 6/6 fliers are a common occurrence. Oh wait, lets bring in a relevant landfall ability. Meet mythic status. I like it. It will be a solid mythic. It's not Baneslayer Angel, but it's not Eternity Vessel either.

    Neat card!

Whoever designed this must have done a preety good job, ive seen nothing bad commented at all yet.

Eh I've seen people complain that "it's useless in standard". But that is because they must not play vintage or legacy. This thing is a HOUSE (roadhouse). If we see Mirrodin pt. 2 this thing will be nuts. I'll pick them up allllll day.

Aggro Shop just got a replancement for Juggernaut. 5/3 body for 4 that is another sphere of resistance like effect in vintage. I may have just fell in love w/ Aggro Shop.

As far as standard this won't see much play as of yet.

    9/10 rating from me

I disagree about the counters comment. I would much rather counter a creature than deal with it, ie: Banslayer Angel, Sprouting Thirnax, Putrid Leech, or a Woodly Thoctar to name a few. I have yet to have a game where I wish I had an Agony warp in my hand. Usually I am wishing for another land or a counter at the preferred time

And I would say that is preference. I like the spot removal package. It gives them more chances to overextend into an Earthquake. Having to always rely on counters seems weak. I think the only MD counters should be Flashfreeze (meta dependent) and Double Negative. I don't think with all the removal that this deck runs that any non-shroud, non-indistructable creature is an issue... Hold the double negative for opposing Jar Jars or the Flashfreeze for Thornling.

Is it worth it? I know the only cards that are worth anything are the lands and sorin. which all i really need are the M10 duals so that shouldn't be hard. Is this a very Viable deck in T2 right now? And is it worth it to make this deck this late in the T2 season even though T2 is like a year round season.

Also I have seen someone who has played this deck very well and he plays Countersquall over Negate because though it is harder to cast *barely* it deals the damage which can be really relevent.

I also want to know whether the new jace will be played for this deck *instead of a Divination* Because i know the CMC is one more but the brainstorm is much better for this deck then just draw two.

    Let me answer in order:

    - Yes. It is very strong. Should have been in competitive a long time ago. Seds said it was overlooked. You just need m10 duals, Sorin, and Bolas. Not too bad on the wallet.
    - Countersquall is meh in here. The 2 damage is nice, but I don't even run Negate. Most of the time you'll do a Sorin reset to 10 anyway.
    - Old Jace isn't played in here. New Jace won't either. He'll live one turn. I heard 4 mana brainstorms are bad.

Glad to see the thread only took a couple pages to come around regarding Sorin. He's an absolute house.

House is an understatement. Dare I say Road House?? (sorry for the Family Guy reference, had to go there)

Sorin's 1st two abilities in control are stupiddd good. First his Shock Helix (which is the shock version of Lightning Helix) puts him at 6 counters. Out of range of most decks and you just smoked one of their dudes (or if it's a clear board you just made a 4 life swing by nailing them). Or put them at 10. Seems good to put them on a two turn clock w/ Jar Jar Sphinx or one swing pre or post Cruel. Or heck, double cruel. He is just nuts. 2-of. No more, no less.

Arrrrrgggg!!! it seems EVERYONE is playing RDW on MODO.
It's really frustrating............I ☺☺☺☺ing hate that deck and keep losing to it on turns 3-4 wihtout much to do about it. Trying nighthawks now.

My buddy plays it (QuicksilverVII) and runs bolt, burst lightning, and terminate. Stops RDW like that. I'm pretty sure he didn't lose a game to it last FNM and played it 2-3x. Lost one round to Boros due to mana screw but burst lightning is an allstar.

I've always had problems w/ KMCs getting really sticky feeling almost and hard to shuffle. But dragonshields were worse. I guess I've just had good luck w/ Ultra Pro

Sarkhan is a beast a well, I completely agree with that. There might just be a reason for it jumping in price in the last month. I think it's absolutly worth it tho... The card is so clutch, sure... I'll take your baneslayer... Or I'll ranger and get 2 nacatals.. Btw, they ate 4/4s with haste? Broken please?

I've been wondering why Sarkhan Vol hasn't been getting the love. I thought he was going to be good when he first came out, but I guess I'm wrong. It's basically Fires of Yavimaya which was awesome back in the Invasion days. The only thing is that he kinda clogs the 4 spot with Ajani Vengeant and Elspeth. But 6/6 hastey Baneslayers seem like some fun. Just the turn you drop him is kinda ehhh. It uses that whole turn 4. But if you follow with Ranger into Nacatl it can be sick (just like in Boros). I wouldn't run more than 2 if I was to run it though...

Conflux really has no business being a mythic but hey. I think baneslayer is just fine as a mythic. her price will go down due to there being more of er in m11

Right. Just like the Lorwyn 'walkers. Garruk and Ajani were $15-20. Now they're $8-10. There are more of them. And this is a good thing. Baneslayer (if reprinted) will probably go back to $35. There, its $60 cheaper for a playset. But then on the flipside you get everyone who is PO'd it was reprinted and the price dropped. Oh well. As supply increases, price drops. This is why Honor of the Pure and Malakir Bloodwitch will never be over $5. They're available in a starter.
