Often your LGS will have a bunch of snow-covered lands in the draft land box. Ask the people running the store if you can pick them up on the cheap, or they might even just give them to you.

I second this. I've done it myself. Any cardshop common boxes will do. Be prepared to want to beat your head off the floor digging through 100000 lands though.

This is probably an odd question and hopefully not against the forum rules, but IF I were to list some stuff on ebay, what is the ideal time for that auction to end?

I know that matters quite a bit, I grabbed a cd worth well over $50+ a couple weeks ago because it went off very early friday morning.

Also, is a 7th edition foil Hurricane worth anything?

He's also sold 6 playsets of those manaleaks btw. (and has another for sale)
And he only seems to sell promos...

Looking through completed listings, this guy has sold 6 auctions of these (12 cards) since the 6th, more food for thought.

The problem is that you really never know when this is going to happen, regardless of iTrader refs.

Edit: Didnt Adrian and metapaco have 100+ when they went bad?

Avoid the green fat thing until after it rotates, he'll plummet and you can pick them up for nothing...

The other two are going to stay high because of sheer power and casual appeal.

You both agreed on the trade.

This is the most important thing, imo. It doesnt matter how lopsided a trade ends up being, if both parties agree to it.

The card has power on it's side, if nothing else. The mythic rarity doesnt help either. People are going to want the card to try and make it tourney worthy, but casual players are going to want the card to smash face.

Also, obviously, this comes out two turns ahead of grave titan and dishes out 10 before he gets going. (and most likely stops your opponent's thoughts of attacking for a turn)

Edit: also, I'd like to say ebay IS the way to go and if you get screwed you can get an easy enough refund and blast the seller with negative feedback. A bunch of negatives in a small time period of pre-orders would really look bad, if people actually bother to leave them. (and they should)

I would personally open it just because I couldnt help myself... but just sell/trade it and try to get $10+ out of it. ($14 here: http://store.tcgplayer.com/product.aspx?id=27361&gogs=1) The odds of getting anything worth while are fairly slim. If you trade it and the guy opens a sea drake or that ugly dragon that hasnt ever been reprinted, punch him.

  • posted a message on When do you report auctions on ebay?
The shipping cost listed under the price of the item.

For example, ebay says shipping on a single cd is $3.00 from a non-US country and has it listed as so. In the seller's description, it will say "Shipping is NOT $3.00, shipping cost is X.XX, please wait for invoice before sending payment"

I buy cds online and maybe this is off topic, BUT this is a thread about illegal stuff on ebay so I'll ask.

Is it legal for ebayers to say their shipping cost is more than what ebay has it listed as? If not, do they have to honor what the listed shipping cost is? International sellers do this quite a bit.

I want a chance to be able to work out any situation that comes up, really. If I were to get a negative or neutral feedback without a chance to work things out, I'm not giving you a ref period, not just giving you a retaliation negative.

Edit: Not allowing me to fix a mistake on my part isnt a positive transaction in my mind, and I would give anyone else the chance to do the same if I buy

I've had a couple of "iTrader standoffs" with users for this very reason. The whole thing is pretty stupid . When payment is received, leave feedback. When cards are received, leave feedback. Easy as that.

When I sell, I always wait for the buyer to leave me a positive ref, just in case any issue may arise. I'm going to be fairly annoyed if I give you a positive ref and you're unsatisfied and leave me less than a positive for any reason.

  • posted a message on On sending first...
I never really did huge dollar amount trades but I never had a problem simul-sending with anyone over 25 refs at any point. (actually this is probably the deciding factor that I didnt have any problems.)

I thought I had actually been burned a couple times, but it never really happened. Heck I recieved a package from a user that had been banned for ripping (not my BTR either) almost three months after the fact with an apology attached.

Adrian crapped out on me once and I had to open a btr to get him to send. Got a bunch of angry pms from him saying I should have pm'ed him first, yet I did 5 times over a month time frame.

Someone with 100+ refs telling me I had to send first would also make me fall out of my chair laughing.

Would like to get an idea, what bulk cards would go for, by the thousand, if I was looking to buy. Ideally this would be for bulk commons/uncommons and no basic land. (stated explicitly clearly)
